"Great place to spend evenings with kids. Splash park is so much fun. Play ground is good too. My kids love the different types of swings. There is also a covered picnic area with plenty of seating. Restrooms are clean. Definitely recommend to take your kids"

"We recently visited Lakewood Park for the first time for a birthday party! There are multiple pavilions with plenty of tables and seating, so perfect for a party. The park offers a lot of different amenities, but we mainly checked out the splash pad area of the park. It's beautiful and well taken care of. However, I'm not a fan of it being sunken in. Because of the water features at the top areas, it makes it wet and slippery around the top, making it easy to fall in. There's constantly kids running around the top and climbing up the rocks. One could easily slip, be pushed in or trip and fall into the splash pad area or hit their heads on the rocks. There's also zero shade in the splash zone. We came in the afternoon in late August and the heat was awful. The playground looks fun but most of it was taped up and broken, making it unplayable. There is a foosball and ping-pong tables by one of the pavilions which is also neat to have!"

"Beautiful park with lot of activities for children as well as adults. If you want, your kids to have some good play time near leander.This is one of the parks to visit also you can kayak or enjoy picnic with family with beautiful view of sunset"

"Great park for kids and adults! We mostly ventured on the playground, splash pad, and picnic areas. Plenty of parking, great activities, and lots of fun! They also had a swing that could accommodate a wheelchair."

"Nice park with lots of potential as it's further developed. Self-serve kayak and paddle board rentals. No designated swimming area with only one easy entry area about 250' from kayak rentals. Water is cloudy. Two covered pavilions next to the water. A fantastic, curved fishing pier. Lots of wide, concrete "trails" throughout. Dog parks separated by size. One sand volleyball court and one basketball court. Playground for kids. Restrooms and drinking fountains. A future, very large play field available once the grass grows. There's currently lots of rock and dirt in most areas of the park."
