"Love this Kroger, Brisket on sale for $2.99 a pound this week!! Everyone is super nice"
"The fact that the card reader didn't ask for my number, it only said it couldn't read my card when I didn't even have one near it, I forgot to punch in my membership number, so by the time I remembered, I already made the purchase because the machine distracted me to where it never asked for a number. Thanks. People are struggling to eat. Struggling for money. And you can't even honor your deals after the customer wasn't able to enter their phone number. Thanks."
"Went to get my vehicle registration renewed, ladies were talking before acknowledging anyone in line which wasn’t a big deal until a few days later I got pulled over because my sticker was not updated in the system ☹️ turns out they didn’t update it on the computer so the sticker did not match the plates and it marked as expired. Be careful when getting your vehicle registration renewed at Kroger"
"I live a few blocks away and have patronized this store for over 30 years. 12;30 in the afternoon and NO cashiers, because the only cashier was "on break"??? And no one in charge can be found. 1. Since I don't cashier for a living, it takes me 2 to 3 times as long to check out. Waste of my time. 2. Prices not good enough to pay for my labor. 3. Not worth the risk of being prosecuted for shoplifting because I make a mistake. Let me know when you decide to hire cashiers again and I will consider returning. Until then, I will be shopping at one of the many other options available close by."
"Visiting the grocer isn’t what it use to be. Dodging panhandlers in the parking lot, dodging that same family that’s always trying to sell me fresh banana bread, navigating carts with broken wheels, a butcher who sort of knows about meats, a floral department that doesn’t take orders they just sell what the truck brings in, a confusing number of store managers, searching for the bar code on a box of cookies because you know - even though you hate “self check out” - that’s going to be the only line available, and you want to be sure your products bar code is on that cookie box before you get in line and hold every one up. The Kroger on Great Southwest has entered the Brave New World of 21st Century super- marketing, not so super but very brave. Here’s the way it is customer, take it or leave it. We are semi-automated, which means that since technology is taking over many aspects of our grocery mart, our employees are trained to work the machines as opposed to being knowledgeable in the products they are selling or being skilled in the customer experience. Have you seen the lines in self check out at this store - it winds down all the way to the middle of the frozen foods. People kind of shuffle forward while balancing food stuffs in both arms. Why? Because customers are not efficient in Krogers confusing self check out automation system. Now imagine, a skilled checker working the register and getting people through the line… it’s massively more efficient. I spend maybe $400.00 a week on groceries, well at least that’s what I give my wife and she tells me it’s going to groceries. We go to this Kroger to support our neighborhood. I have those old school values of community. There’s a Tom Thumb down the way. I’m gonna give them a try, the last time I was there - an employee helped us take groceries out to our car. That’s service."
