"My boyfriend and I were looking for a nice area to take the dog with a lake shoreline for her hop in. I had saved this spot a year ago but finally got around to going. It’s just over the bridge past the Gaylord so it’s a hit of a hidden gem. Such a nice spot! $10 parking fee, but otherwise you can bring your own food, drinks, chairs, etc. Staff was friendly and recommended areas to go to. There’s 6 coves with picnic tables and parking at each. We haven’t explored the trails yet but they have a full trail of 23 miles and they break out into 2-3 mile loops. We brought our Tommy Bahama chairs and some drinks and enjoyed the nice weather. It was such a nice spot we saw an engagement! They close at 6:30 / 15 min after sunset"
"I was here for a trail race and the park was AMAZING!! I do wish they would have kept bikes off the trails during the race but the park itself is super beautiful and the trails were so nice!!"
"this was a a really pretty place, with a nice view and great hiking trails. This place isn't too far from Plano and there are a lot of great options for recreation. There is a boat ramp, kayak rentals, golf cart rentals, small beaches, and so much more. The trail I went on was beautiful and had great views of the lake below. I recommend this place for families and friends to come to."
"Such a BEAUTFUL location to view the sunset, enjoy the scenery, sit for a while, access the water, or walk the trails. My couples love this location for engagement sessions!"
"Very fun! We took our kayaks out and had a blast. Lots of small beaches close by the main beach area. We were able to kayak down to many different smaller beach areas with less people and it was very nice. The boats made the water a little choppy for kayaking, but we were able to manger despite being beginners. The beach wasn’t too busy even with it being July 4th. I highly recommend going here for a nice beach day. We even want to go back to explore the different hiking trails by the beach as well."
