Reviews
"This place is lovely and provides the opportunity to see birds and butterflies. Great place to bring kids."
"We were here for a cleanup. This place has "grown". There's a cactus garden, a butterfly garden, picnic areas, nice areas for pictures or observe nature."
"Nice natural nature park with winding trails and overgrown trees. They have three sets of trails that intersect and weave through thick vegetation of mesquite, cactus, and other south Texas brush. You will see and hear a good mix of birds here. I saw many types of lizards scurrying across the paths. I also saw several bunnies. Nice place to walk and relax. They have picnic tables, benches, water fountains, and restrooms."
"This is a park that is in the middle of transition. The pathways are beautiful and easy to navigate. Many flowering shrubs and trees attracting a lot of butterflies. Birds were swimming in the Resaca. While walking down named trails, you are serenaded by many bird songs. They have been working hard to get the park back into the vision that is expected for McAllen. The Website states there is a Visitor Center for check-in. It is a locked up mobile home. If you want restrooms, they are clean and in working order with water and flush toilets. I will come back and see the progress and visit this treasure."
"For the location and size, it's cute. There was a little trash in the main area. The back is open and leads to the Westside park fence..not sure if they're expanding or what. I saw many bunnies, birds and butterflies. It does need an update but it's in the city and I hope it stays."
