This is typical for Mr. Barrick office!. I rarely need to contact my insurance agents but when I do, it is certain you will not speak with Tom and it always feels like you are bothering them!"

"So we just left Allstate after my husband and I had been there 17 years (while married) and my husband had been with them 26 years. After the former agent left or sold the business to Tom Barrack it was never the same service. NEVER once did we EVER speak to the agent himself, Tom. It was ALWAYS Ronda. While she did take care of each & every need I called about over the years, she came across (at times) as abrasive and abrupt. When I mentioned taking myself off the policy & going somewhere cheaper about a month ago, her attitude was a little hostile & she implied (maybe correctly) the insurance on my husband's vehicle would at least double by such a move. Then, AFTER 17 YEARS, I wised up & shopped for insurance....we found NUMEROUS companies that saved us OVER $2,000 ANNUALLY. We went with one that is savings us $2,200.00 annually between Auto & Home. The coverage is EXACTLY the same. Keep in mind we've had no "At Fault" accidents in over ten (10) years; only one (1) comp claim & one (1) home owners claim for hail damage. $2,200.00 ANNUALLY. My husband, a creature of habit, was at first reluctant to switch because he had "positive" feelings about Allstate (not the agent) but when I told him that we have just gifted Allstate with over $30,000 (above & beyond what we could or should have been paying with another company) during the duration of our marriage all because he felt "positive" about Allstate...well he was on board then. When I called to cancel the insurance there was no sincere attempt to keep us & Ronda mentioned they had a different tier/level/type of policy (we were only on a "Standard" policy level - never gold or premium) she could see if it would work. WHERE was this conversation or offer when I because unemployed (through no fault of my own) & made calls to Allstate to manipulate our policy to try and lower the monthly premium so we could continue to pay?!? When I told her that I did not believe there was anyway she was going to beat the $2,200 annual savings....she just went ahead and processed the cancellation. MORAL OF THE STORY - Do your research; obtain quotes from different agents and companies and do not settle for never speaking to the actual agent. While we never had an issue with Allstate handling of any claim the lack of attention, care and concern was poor not to mention the SIGNIFICANT overcharging."
