Locker Room by Lids

"I visited this store on 11/18/2022 to have a custom hat made. This would make my 4th hat made by Lids. After selecting everything without any help from the 2 employees in the store, they mentioned that they were having a sale in which I could get a second hat 50% off. I was told that the standard pricing was the price of the blank hat + $14 for embroidery. Well, after deciding that I would get a second hat and was about to pay, the associate kept asking me what kind of threading I wanted (offering multiple "Premium Thread options). She spoke with a lisp and was a bit difficult to understand, so I was very clear when I said that I only wanted the basic thread. When we were ready to pay, the total seemed higher than I was expecting. I questioned the price twice and they assured me that it was correct. Having "3" Children (2 toddlers) with me, I couldn't break down the price then and there and took their word for it. They told me it should take around an hour and would call me when they were ready. We spent 2 hours walking around and shopping elsewhere, but I never received a call, so we decided to just go in there. Of course the hats were ready to go and had been for a while. If they are going to expect you to wait for their call, they should have the decency to call. After getting the hats (both looked good) we went straight home. Then I found that I only received 50% the second hat itself, not the embroidery (This should have been made clear if that was the sale). I was still finding that my total wasn't adding up correctly. I then realized that they charged me an additional $12 for "Specialty Thread". I was also asked at check out if I would like to "Round up to the dollar" for whatever charity, which I accepted. I was charge $2 for the Donation Round up, so I still haven't figured out how that works. Overall, I was charged $21 extra (Not counting the addition to taxes) that not only I wasn't prepared for, but I didn't even want. They gave me some goofy white thread that glows in the dark... The whole point of me getting a black hat, with Black & White threading, was so that it wouldn't stand out... I am not super happy with this company and have had a similar issue on every visit. I am currently researching other options for my future purchases."

"My experience. Bought a license plate on father's day. Tried to pay with my debit card, the girl told me it didn't recognize my card and wouldn't take it. So I paid with cash. 2 days later the $33 came out of my account. So I guess it recognized my card after all. So now, they don't want to give me any money back,so I paid $66 for one license plate."
