"I appreciate the customer service. They were very efficient with everything. I love my shoes ❤️"
"Today, while shopping at the Outlet Mall, I stopped in Steve Madden to look for some shoes. Upon entering the store, I wasn't greeted nor acknowledged by any of the staff, of which there were three staff members present. The staff was engaged in a conversation about what movies/shows to watch. I proceeded to make my way to the back of the store without a “ can I help you with anything/” or anything for the matter. As I made my way back to the front shoe display, I started to look for a pair of shoes, and to my surprise, I was greeted and asked if I needed anything by a staff member (Jewel) who appeared from the back part of the store. I assumed she was reentering the front of the store after having taken a break. I responded “hello” and thanked her for acknowledging me. I further shared that she was the first and only staff member to speak to me. She apologized and told me to let her know if I needed anything. I continued to look at shoes and began reaching for a pair when I was met with a voice that said,” do you need help with anything?” I replied, “yes, thank you,” and looked up. I didn’t see the person who had “asked” the question, and no one approached me, so I asked the closest staff member (name unknown) if she had asked me if I needed help. She replied “no” and pointed to another staff member (Courtney Walker). I looked at Ms. Walker and asked her if she had just asked me “if I needed help,” and she replied, “yes.” I proceeded to tell her that I had responded with, “yes, I needed help,” She continued to stand by the register and asked me, “what do you need help with?” Now mind you, I’m at the front of the store by the door, and she’s standing over by the register. At that moment, another staff member (Jewel) interjects and says, what can I help you with? what size are you looking for?; while pointing at the same shoes a little closer to the register. I walk over to (Jewel) and tell her my size. Ms. Walker gestures with her body, storms past me, and says, “well, alrighty then.” At that moment, I’m upset with the interaction and blatant rudeness of Ms. Walker. I ask her for her name and share that I needed to speak to her manager. She turns her body slightly and ignores me. I then ask (Jewel) if I can speak to a manager. She shares that a manager is not present until tomorrow and provides me with the manager's name (Tameka Simpson). I further ask that she provide me with the employee's name and the regional manager's name. Jewel provided me with the information, and I exit the store. Although I was never greeted upon entering the store by three visible staff members, Ms. Walker’s attitude and rude behavior were the tipping point for why I’m writing this review. I strongly recommend that the managers take some time to train their staff on basic customer service. At the bare minimum, every customer should be acknowledged upon entering the store. In addition, I highly encourage them to revisit having Ms. Walker working with customers until she is fully trained. I will be reaching out to speak with a manager in the AM."
"Store is prejudice against people of color. No one approached me in the store to ask if I needed any help but about a mask during a time where those who are fully vaccinated are not required. Woman walked right passed me to ask her counterpart to approach me about a mask. Steve Madden lost a customer and much money today. Do not shop here. Their prices are no different from online as well."
"Had the best service at the outlet mall! They didn’t have the shoe at that store so they where able to call the other place in Katy hold the shoes for and gave me directions. That’s why I always come to the outlet 1st. 3:30 3/9/21"
