"“Always go with your first mind” is what my godmother would always tell me. Walking into ‘Cut It Up’ my first mind was screaming “RUN!”, I ignored it… I regretted it. The back of my neck is TORE UP! I could literally feel that he didn’t know what he was doing. I’m not sure if he was inebriated or if his perception was off due to other outside forces but if that’s his “passion” he needs a new one. He was a very nice guy, seemed very knowledgeable about other topics but cutting hair? I don’t think that’s his strong suit. I’m still getting used to explaining to barbers exactly what I need to be done, but a taper and a line up is very straight forward. I got neither. 10 out of 10 would not recommend this establishment. Not to mention the cleanliness was NONEXISTENT. Very dusty, very dirty, worn sofas peeling faux leather and hair EVERYWHERE I hate to say that I’m not even sure the clippers that were used were cleaned properly. Hair everywhere all over the shelves and drawers I mean everywhere. It was very unsettling. You know that moment when you go to someones house and you use their bathroom and as you’re sitting there you start to see all the filth that’s been building up for years… yea, this place gives that vibe on a whole new level. Terrible first experience at a barber shop in Texas. I paid my money without a fuss (which I most definitely regret) and I went to another barbershop not too far and he fixed the damage. But one thing he couldn’t fix is the cut marks on my neck! I’ll upload photos later but I’ll be blocking my newer haircut that I got right after so you won’t be confused. Terrible terrible job, if I could give negative 5 stars I would."
