"First haircut I got was good, but every other time the barbers were perplexed when I said “Just shorten it up, and use your better judgment,” asking me what tools they should use. The answer, for future reference, is always going to be, “I have literally no idea, because this isn’t my job.” The quality of the cut got worse over time, somehow. Not sure how that works. Same girl, more experience, worse results. And to top it all off, when I decided to try a different barber at the same location, she not only acted unusually standoffish and condescending to me, like I was some sort of idiot, she also let fly a suddenly *quite* racist opinion on Mexicans. To set the record straight: I *definitely* didn’t bring anything like that up…and I never would’ve even thought to bring something like that up. Most people don’t. I guess someone missed the memo. These two stars are for the first lady, and the negative three are aaaalll for the last one. It kind of helps to know how to treat people with basic respect when you work with people for a living. ….it also helps to know how to cut someone’s hair. But what do I know?"

"I have been visiting knockouts for 2 years, but their service is deteriorating from the last 6 months. My hair was unevenly cut without a proper bifurcation. They don’t have interest in giving a good cut. After the head wash, they did not even dry my hairs and the water was dripping even when I was driving in my car. Waste of $33 + tips."

"Place empty except for one customer when we arrived. Hairdresser said we were not allowed to switch to a Heavyweight Haircut because she was behind for her next customer after us. We waited 15 minutes past our appt. to get started. She was not accommodating at all for even a quick beard trim. Place is clean, nicely laid out, t.v. terminal at every chair and complimentary soda, beer, or water. 5 stars for place, 3 for Hairdresser. After seeing me take pics...I guess she changed her tune and did the beard trim...now that's a knockout feeling! Changing rating to 5 stars. My man got the "Champion" treatment he deserves...finished the round in 30 minutes."
