"Extend hair salon is my new favorite! I have had extensions for a while and was on the verge of taking them out and just living with my thin short hair. But Bunmi took out those fake looking heavy Bellami tracks and gave me new beautiful realistic looking flowing hair. I’m so happy i went to Extend!"
"Siyan has changed my whole hair game. My hair was damaged and dull. Siyan came up with plan for me and I trusted her. A year later it has been the best decision of my life!!!!!! My hair is now healthy. I don't have to apply heat to it everyday to feel comfortable going out. Her extensions are the best quality and I have tried different types for over 10 years. These are the easiest to manage they look natural and they have lasted me such a long time. Bonus: the salon is gorgeous "
"Recently had my second set of extension with Ms. Siyan and nonetheless, she never disappointed me. Before coming to Siyan, i had fine/thin hair that i wouldn’t think IBE would make a difference. However I did trust in Siyan and her team which resulted in a very satisfactory experience. Pictures for references. Red shirt 1st set and plaid crop top 2nd set."
"Beware and please read before deciding to get extensions with Ms. Siyan Scott at Extend. I never thought I could get extensions because I have very fine hair that is on the shorter side. After recently learning about IBE, reading that IBE does not damage hair, (wrong, it ABSOLUTELY can)) and watching a YouTube series about one woman's experience getting IBE with Siyan Scott, I went in for a consult. I understood that getting hand tied extensions would be expensive and Ms. Scott advised that I should get 2 rows of 14", 100% human hair. She told me that the service would cost $2000, which included 'everything' (color match, cut, etc). I paid a $1000 deposit and came in for the appointment the following week. My appointment lasted the entire morning, as expected. Before I left the salon, she said that my head would likely feel sore for a few days and to take Advil. I thanked her for her service (the transformation was incredible) and as she walked out with me, put bottles of Oribe shampoo, conditioner, hairspray and mousse on the counter. Initially, I thought that they might have been part of the 'everything for $2000' but the cashier let me know that that wasn't the case. I was annoyed that she assumed I would just purchase over $200 worth of products without asking but what was even more frustrating was that when the cashier rung up what I owed (I anticipated the remainder of my deposit) she said it was an additional $375 for highlights and toner. I ended up paying $2,375 with an additional tip, however, but this wasn't the real issue. Six days after my appointment, I noticed one of the edges of the weft had pulled away from my scalp, leaving me with a bald spot. I went in to see Ms. Scott who told me I must have been something, even though I assured her that I would have known if I had done something to pull out such a large chunk of hair. She reapplied the weft and I left. A few days after, I noticed pink and tender areas throughout both wefts and I went back a 3rd time. She assured me that it was normal to have tender areas but when an edge on the other side came away, I sought out a second opinion. I found a Master IBE stylist who was willing to look at the work Ms. Scott did. In short, after removing the hair, she took pictures of the work and said it was a very sloppy job and 'not IBE'. Additionally, Ms. Scott put 5 wefts of hair on the lower row (apparently too heavy for my scalp) and for some reason, used blond beads in my install in my brown hair. There were red, tender and bare areas throughout (pictures below). She recommended that I send the pictures into the IBE customer service so they could reach out to Ms. Scott directly. The Master stylist reinstalled the hair, this time removing the extra wefts from the rows. However, what ultimately ended up happening, was that I had to have all the extensions removed because my scalp could not tolerate any more tension, especially after the initial damage created by Ms. Scott. I had the extensions for just a month an a half but in that time dealt with the pain of the bad install and paranoia and anxiety of my hair being pulled out. I am now left with several areas of traction alopecia (bald spots) from where there was too much tension and on top of that am out over $3000! Please do not be fooled by the IBE marketing; even this type of extension is not damage proof. True, my install was done by someone who did a terrible job but she is listed on the IBE site as 'Certified'. I completely trusted Ms. Scott and never saw any type review or warning that this could ever happen; please proceed with caution and if your stylist says your hair/scalp won't be damaged, find someone else."
"Amazing salon! Brought my friend here and vibes are unlike any others. Bella was the one working on my friend and she did an incredible job. My friend will definitely be back. Everyone is super sweet at the salon. Ask for Bella, very talented!"
