Another warranty company who robs and lies to u!! I purchased a warranty paid 3500 for a 84 month warranty ..bought my car at 63 thousand miles ..paid for the premier warranty for an additional 100 thousand miles which would make me good for almost 7 years ! FALSE small print on page 3 like they stated to me says it starts from 0 mileage so I paid 3500 for 37 thousand miles because once my car reached 100 my warranty was expired! Never seen this page 3 theh claimed this was stated on!! Never used my warranty was specifically told it was good for 100 thousand miles starting from the 63 thousand ! Why would I purchase a warranty for 7 years for 30 thousand miles ???? Straight ROBBERY! And lesson learned"
"I can't say enough praise for my rep Chris Bocanegra. From start to finish with my claim he made it happen. When I had questions he had or got me answers quickly. He moved the process along through all the bumps in the road. Without him I'd probably still be fighting with the dealer. If I could give him more than 5 stars I would. Thank you again for your commitment to customer service at its best. Update 02/13/24 I'll start off by saying that Chris will forever be my brother in arms. In what turned out to be a months long ordeal with what I can only describe as an inept dealer service dept that wasn't interested in actually doing the repair or completing a diagnostic fully to ascertain the damages incurred by a stretched timing chain. Chris was invaluable. He spearheaded not one but two major warranty repairs on my behalf. If you think Ethos is pinching pennies let me assure you...They are NOT. Chris never stopped battling for me even when the dealer tried to stonewall him or withhold vital info. He kept finding ways and never stopped fighting for me all the way up to a day before my vehicle was returned. Then he emailed me to make sure I was happy with my repair. I now have my vehicle back in my possession with a new engine and a new lease on life! Thank you so much Chris and Ethos. Forever in your debt"
"I will never buy another warranty from EG again. On 12/27 I took my car to the repair shop after a transmission fluid leak was noted during a routine oil change. The repair shop discovered metal shavings in my transmission fluid as well as hard engagement going from reverse to drive. EG stated they needed to send an inspector out due to the repair estimate. They sent their third party inspector out that clearly doesn’t want to bite the hand that feeds him. He was shown any and all proof that the transmission needed replaced and yet he still reported back to EG that it just needed a fluid flush. I then requested that a second inspector come out. The same guy was sent out. The repair shop had done the transmission fluid flush prior to his arrival to ensure that he couldn’t fall back on that again and even took him for a test drive. And somehow, he still reported back to them that it was drivable and no other repairs were needed at this time. After the second inspection was completed, I requested any and all documentation from the inspections and they refused to provide ANY documentation. I asked if there was anyway to send a different inspector out when I didn’t believe it was fair that the same one was sent out both times. I was told that they had met their obligation by having two inspections completed and there was nothing else to be done. To top this all off, we are a military family that was getting ready to move from Washington to Oklahoma that week. So here I am, still battling with them from halfway across the country while my car sits in a repair shop - the same car that was supposed to SAFELY get us moved to our new home state. I understand that they use a third party for their inspections and what they report back is “out of their control.” What isn’t out of their control though, is the lack of empathy and willingness to fix the situation. Now I’m not only out $3,500 for a warranty that doesn’t do anything but over $8,000 to get my car repaired. Never again."
"When I first got my car I didn’t know anything about GAP insurance or what it was, but after working at a dealership seeing how handy it is to have, I am glad that I had this coverage when it was I lost my car in an accident and was deemed a total loss. I didn’t have to worry about paying the remaining balance on my car loan that I was no longer driving. Highly recommend EG Assurance they were amazing!
