"Naser is gifted. He knows what he’s doing with hair. I left with the best haircut of my life, and the perfect style that suits my hair texture which is extremely fine. It’s perfection."
"Allison is the best for any service you want! I got curtain bangs and a trim = it came out AMAZING!!! 10/10. She also made sure I had something to drink and was very comfortable. This is my go to place."
"Got a cut and color here, trying to go back to my natural color. They explained everything they were going to do before hand and the process it would take to get back to my natural color, super freshly and great experience. :)"
"Honestly, I never tend to write reviews, however, enough time has passed, for me to really gather my thoughts, and put into words the despicable series of events that transpired with Aalam Salon. I had a service at another salon. Said salon had left my hair a mess. I’m a natural blonde. For whatever reason, this salon had missed the mark, so to speak, on my color. I left with multicolored hair, and a miserable mess. I visited Salon #2, about 2 weeks later, to attempt to fix the mess in my hair. It failed miserably, however, at least I was presentable enough to be in public. I heard good things about Aalam, so I called to make an appointment. This would be for corrective color, so, it’s hard to find someone reputable to do a great job. I was told I needed to come in for a “consultation” prior to making an appointment. I understood, because they wanted to see the color, and condition of my hair, to see if it were fixable. Within a week, I met with Bimal. (I think that’s how you spell her name) She had told me my hair was fixable. She could foil my head, and break up the terrible color, hard lines, and brassiness. We were all set to go, but not before I was required to leave a $100 deposit. I returned to Aalam a week later for my appointment. Bimal started on my hair. Now, I’ve had my hair highlighted probably a dozen or more times in my life; I CANNOT figure out for the life of me, why, someone would highlight the top of my head, and LEAVE THE FOIL AND BLEACH ON MY HAIR FOR 2 WHOLE HOURS!?!?? Bimal did this. I have a lot of hair, and very thick hair; she left foil on the top, while she worked on the sides, and the back. I even questioned this, I was told, “Its ok.” I was NOT prepared for the next couple hours, but after my complete nervous breakdown, I can discuss in detail. She left the bleach and foil on my head for the longest time imaginable! I was taken to the sink, in which she began pulling foils off of my head. My hair was coming out with the foils!!! To make matters way worse, a young lady who only cuts hair at Aalam, was assisting Bimal. The comments. The heavy sighs. They had destroyed my hair. I was then taken to have my hair cut. I could not get a comb through my hair without huge clumps of hair falling out..I was in tears. I was hysterical. The ignorant hair stylist made matters worse with her comments; “Oh my God.”, “This is bad.” “I may have to cut your hair past your ears to save it.” And to think, I walked in with a full head of hair. Thick, beautiful hair, that ONLY NEEDED A COLOR CORRECTION! After telling the ignorant hair stylist to not touch my hair, the owner noticed I was having a complete breakdown. At this point, Bimal left, she knew what she had done. The owner blew my hair dry, and had to mention how he was a master stylist, but was not going to charge me for him to blowout my hair. Are you kidding? It’s the LEAST he could have done, with what those two ladies had just done to my hair. This took place in March, 2021. It has now been 5 months. 5 long months of Olaplex treatments, no heat to style my hair, hair vitamins, Kerastase treatments. It’s been hundreds of dollars of products to rehabilitate my hair, and not being able to touch it, until it was healthy enough. I forgot to mention, the owner offered me a bottle of Kerastase Shampoo, and Conditioner—which I gladly accepted, to assist with the rehabilitation of my hair. This salon RUINED ME. They ruined my hair, color, (it was orange, I was being convinced it was “rose gold”), they broke so much of my hair off, it’s been awful to tame, I’ve had to learn how to hide the problem areas, so you can’t visibly see the mess. If I had a “consultation”, I should have been turned away if my hair were not healthy; but I was not. Instead, I was placed in the chair with someone completely inexperienced to correct what issues my hair had. I have worked SO HARD to fix the mess AALAM created with my hair. This is not an “Award Winning” Salon, this is a place ran by greed, and inexperienced stylists; not to mention, unprofessional."
