Courtyard by Marriott Laredo

"I recently stayed at this hotel for business. The staff was friendly upon checkin and checkout (which was fairly quickly). The hotel room I was checked into smelled very moldy. The bathroom smelled like someone just used it for a number 2 although it was mostly clean. The shower had hairs in it (looked like public hairs). The tv remote worked when it wanted too. I had the free breakfast in the morning where the attendee warmed up a bistro sandwich for me which was cold as I bit into it. There was no air conditioning in the building itself. The location felt sketchy and not safe to my liking. I checked in and checked out the very next day. The experience was the most horrible I have ever had at a Marriot location. There is an embassy suites which is not too far from this location. If you can afford it, I suggest you stay there instead!"

"I booked my stay with Marriott Laredo recently for a family trip. My personal experience was great. Originally booked two rooms and needed to change it to one room. Since I needed the change, I called to make arrangements and from the beginning staff was very polite and attentive, definitely made it simple tor me to make my accommodations. Day of check-in staff was also very friendly and helpful from the front desk to the housekeeping. It's not often a person can say they have a great stay at a hotel, but my family and I did at Marriott Laredo. Thank you we will definitely be booking again in the future ."

"Not only was this the worst Marriott property I've ever stayed in, it was one of the top 5 worst hotels I've experienced. The room was dark and smelled old and musty. Everything needs replacing, from the carpet to the plumbing fixtures. No breakfast. No coffee. The staff wasn't rude, but neither were they particularly helpful or friendly. No USB ports in the rooms. Lobby/common areas were very worn and dated. Of the three hotels where we've stayed in Laredo, this one was both the most expensive (by about $50) and the absolute worst. The fact that Marriott allows it's name on this hotel will forever damage the value of the brand for me on future trips."

"Great location, but hotel is horribly maintained and needs a full overhaul. Located right on the 35 frontage road, this Courtyard location is easy to get to and has quick access to downtown/border and also Mall del Norte and surrounding businesses. Parking is free and easy as well and felt very safe. The workers were courteous overall. The hotel itself was in rough shape, with a mildew smell throughout, and signs of water damage and general neglect all around. Shower water pressure was horrible, and the shower stall felt cheap and was stained… plus body wash dispenser was broken, and water takes a long time to get hot. Even with a room facing the front (so, freeway facing) it was surprisingly quiet and easy to sleep. Overall it feels more like an old Motel 6 than a Marriott brand though. I’ll stay elsewhere next time."

"Booked two rooms, one was stained everywhere,(bed, carpet, bathroom) complained and was given a new room right away, hotel is a bit dated and can use an update. The security at night made it great we left luggage on our truck bed and everything was there when we woke up so great! Only thing missing was a breakfast most hotels in that price range offer a pretty good breakfast. Overall i would recommend because of the location."
