"I had to get my hair colored ASAP & ready to go by 3pm. I called Ogle & scheduled my appointment with high hopes of getting in that same morning. Talked to the front desk and they were able to get me in that morning. I love that they have openings from 9am-closing. I had no idea what I was going to get so I went in with an open mind. I was having a hard time as I had just lost my mom two weeks before. I get to the salon and was introduced to Samantha Galvan who would be my stylist. Meeting Sam was the best thing that happened to me that day! The top part of my head had so much gray from neglecting to keep up with my color. Sam matched my hair color to the exact shade that I had already. I haven’t had my hair professionally color matched in over 20 years. I didn’t expect someone to match the exact shade. But Sam worked her magic & voila! I was a whole new woman! Sam not only was the best stylist especially with color matching but she was the best counselor! I was going through so much and Sam helped me get through one of the toughest times of my life. I cried, smiled & laughed all in one visit. I look forward to seeing Sam for my next visit to refresh my color & a trim. I recommended Sam to one of my friends for her color & highlights. If you need your hair refreshed, ask for Samantha Galvan! She’s one of the best, she has me as a client for life!"
"The staff was friendly and professional, I was greeted when I entered, Camryn K. colored my hair. She said I was the first person’s hair that she colored. She looked at the picture I provided and almost perfected it. The instructors were very helpful with any questions she had about the process. I will definitely be visiting this school again. It’s a friendly atmosphere, and the students work looked really nice around the room."
"I'll start off with saying that if i had to give any recommendations, Ogle school would be at the rock bottom of my list. I have spent the last 5 months and $15000 attending this school and being apart of the esthetics program, and I can not put into words how disappointed and unsatisfied I am with the time and money I have spent here. When I went to orientation, they had me sold on the things they were saying yet it couldn't have been further from the truth. From the very first day of being here, I could immediately knew that it wasn't what I thought it would be. Classrooms are set up to have 4 students to a table yet there are so many people that there is at least 6-7 students per table. Students have to eat in their cars or outside on the sidewalk because the "break room" and the classrooms we are allowed to eat in, don't have enough room for people to sit and enjoy their lunch. The "curriculum" we supposedly have is completely disorganized. The staff and instructors lack so many answers to the questions the students have and often look it up or they simply don't know the answer, which is very concerning that the Instructors hired to teach at this school lack knowledge in the profession they're supposed to be teaching us. The instructors contradict what the other says and tells us to bluntly not listen to them. Administration has talked about students hours, financial issues, etc. In front of other students multiple times. We are told this is "Adult Learning" yet I, and a handful of classmates have witnessed instructors getting into verbal arguments with other students, with punishments and "talks" only given to the students. Phase 3/4 teacher Meagan clark is a perfect example of that. I myself, as well as others have witnessed her in multiple occasions get into verbal arguments with students and disrespect people as she pleases. The director Ms. Leveige and Education Specialist Ms. Stanley change/create new rules at they please with no care in how it affects the students or anybody else. They will remove people from the clock preventing students from being able to clock in for no legal reason. They have no issues bending rules or ignoring them for students that are favorites. They lack any sense of professionalism and leadership. In addition to that, the Dermalogica products and kit's we were given, is incredibly sad and disappointing. The wax we use, is cheap unprofessional wax that anybody can buy on amazon or at Sally's. The entire disinfection and Sanitation protocol at this school is essentially non existent, but this program especially lacks it. Towels, robes, headbands, linens, blankets all are either stained, ripped, or just straight up disgusting. The laundry room has no washing/drying procedures and is always messy. It was only after an extremely honest google review almost 2 weeks that made them change (only a handful) of the towels and linens. The laundry is done by students and/or staff yet is severely lacking in sanitation or disinfection. Our instructors just keep our products in a messy box on a table for us to rummage through and hope there is something for us to use. Most of our multi-use shared tools are rusted, dusty and broken. Equipment and tools are put away in dusty dirty drawers that i have never once seen get cleaned. A lot of time, students have to use their own products on clients because of the lack of things we are given to use or the lack of clean items there are. We take paying clients that fill out paperwork and information just to have that paperwork regarding health concerns, medications, etc. stored in public areas for anybody to read. These same clients are expecting and hoping for a relaxing service yet falling victim to having uncleaned tools and implements used on them unknowingly. With all of that and more that could be said, it is needless to say Ogle school Is the last place you should ever consider attending."
"after attending ogle willowbrook for 5 months and spending over $15000 to be here, I cannot express how dissatisfied and upset I am with this school, the esthetics program, and the staff. When I first began my search for an esthetics program, Ogle was not at the top of my list, but due to Ogle being the closest school to me and one of the very few to accept financial aid, it ended up being the program I chose. Unfortunately this has been one of the biggest mistakes I’ve ever made. Right from the beginning of the program it was quick to see how unprofessional the staff was and how disorganized the “curriculum” was. The instructors often don’t have answers to questions and lack knowledge in the curriculum they are suppose to be teaching. Every teacher gives different answers to the same question or blatantly tells you to ignore what another teacher has taught you. In addition, instructors often get into verbal arguments with students with repercussions only to the students. The instructors are allowed to disrespect and degrade students with no consequence. I, myself, as well as others have witnessed the phase 2 teacher, Marilyn Goss, and the Phase 3/4 teacher, Meagan Clark, do this on multiple occasions. Furthermore, the administrators often discuss private issues regarding financial concern, hours, etc. in front of other students with little to no regard for privacy. Ms. Stanley and Ms. Leveige, whom are both apart of administration, change/make up rules as they please and as it suits them, and they have no shame in bending rules for some students but not for others. Again, they lack any sense of professionalism that you would expect from a “learning institute.” However this is only half of the problem. The esthetics program severely lacks proper products, tools, sanitation, and is extremely over capacity. Many students don’t have places to sit and are forced to sit 5-7 students at a 4 student table. During lunch, many students are forced to eat in their car in the parking lot as the areas to eat are very limited and again, extremely over crowded. In addition, every towel, robe, sheet, and blanket, is stained, ripped, smelly, and or just plain dirty (and only after another very honest goggle review have they replaced only a handful of these linens). The laundering service here is done by the students or staff and is severely lacking in sanitation or disinfection. All tools are not properly cleaned and sanitized and are stored in dirty drawers often still wet and unsanitized. Any products that we are given are shoved in boxes and thrown on tables for us to pick through and hopefully be able to use. Many shared tools we have are rusted, broken, or again not properly cleaned and sanitized. This is extremely concerning considering that we take paying clients in our spa, who fall victim to having dirty tools and implements used on them without their knowledge. These paying clients also fall victim to having their personal information regarding skin concerns, health conditions, and medications stored in public areas for anyone to access at any time. This is also extremely concerning due to the fact that many students have voiced their concerns over these issues and in the last 5 months nothing has changed. Let me end this by saying, I highly suggest looking for a different program as Ogle is severely lacking in many aspects."
"Let me start by saying that I almost didn’t come to this school because of all of the horrible reviews I saw at first. I was very apprehensive about going but it was basically my only option as it’s one of the only schools that does part time and I am a working mother of 3. This school sold me a dream during my orientation. They made it seem like such a positive, uplifting, professional environment and it COULD NOT be further from the truth. Coming from working at a professional spa for 4 years and managing it for 2, I know what to expect from this type of environment. The administrators treat the staff and the students with no respect or dignity. They treat us as if we’re only here to make them money and don’t care about the students learning and our future careers. A couple of months ago it flooded and water was running into the building and all 3 of the administrators were using the esthetics department’s towels to CLEAN UP FLOOD WATER. And they put all of those towels back into rotation for us to use on our clients. Not that the towels were any good to begin with. They are all stained and ripped, they feel like they have never been laundered correctly and all feel like they have a film on them. We only have 3 or 4 steamers and 2 of them are off order. We have broken spa equipment in the spa room that they expect us to work on clients with. An empty cabinet with no products to work on clients that walk into ogle and want services. Our break room has roaches, half of our microwaves have been out of order for 3 plus months, one of the the snack machine in the beak room hasn’t been restocked in I don’t know how long… not to mention Mrs. Stanley walks around touching students on their backs and rubbing their backs without their permission. We are adults and should be treated with respect. I shouldn’t have to feel triggered because some random ADMINISTRATOR is walking up behind me and touching me without my consent. She also ran the BEST teacher at this school out because of a disagreement of opinion that was had. She goes around intimidating students and staff. I’ve heard several teachers own stories of feeling victimized by this woman as well as majority of students as well. I’m so dissatisfied and disappointed with my whole experience here as a student. You could literally walk in and ask any esthetics student AT RANDOM how their experience has been and they will have a list just like mine. There is no professionalism at this school. From top to bottom. Please do not waste your time and money coming here. They will sell you a dream just like they have with everyone that starts here and then you will spend all your time teaching yourself everything you need to know. I cannot tell you how devastating it is to be wasting 3 and a 1/2 hours of my night (after working from 9-5) that I could be having dinner with my family, tucking my kids into bed, doing laundry, or any other number of things … all for nothing… just to not even be receiving the education that I deserve and have paid for."
