"Yolanda was very nice, personable and professional, however my ear suffered a burn from her dryer that I mentioned was way too hot multiple times. I noticed a boil on my ear the next day in the spot that was still sore and hurting which is crazy. Never had that happen before. Also my hair didn’t last as great as I expected it to over the first 24-48 hours even with wearing the large bonnet as suggested. I also hadn’t left the house since getting the style so no reason not to last. I will follow up on the trim once I wash my hair at some point. My advice would be listen to customer when they say it’s too hot."

"I've visited this stylist routinely for a little bit over a year. At first, I would say I had decent service in which my hair was flourishing and growing. Around the 7th month, things went downhill. I noticed my hair getting increasing dry and brittle causing the ends to snap off like a twig. The entire time I went to Yolanda, I washed, condition, and cared for my hair once sometimes twice a week. Also, I rarely used heat in my relaxed hair so there wasn't anything personal I was doing to attribute to the dryness. I cut my hair twice to try to rectify the issue. The problem I had with Yolanda's service was not that I was having a hair issue, but each time I went to her salon she would style my hair as if the issue never existed. The only time the dryness and brittleness was mention was if I brought it up first. I asked several time what to do and the finger always seems to be pointed as if I was doing something wrong. It took me a while to figure out that some areas hair was severally underprocessed and those areas would not accept moisture at all no matter what I tried. I noticed in the process of applying the relaxer she used her hand to smooth it through instead of the back of a comb. Not sure if this contributed to the multiple textures and underprocess, but the point is I would not recommend this stylist based on the fact that I feel that a stylist should care for the overall health of your hair and not just style it in for the moment you are in their seat. Eventually, I found a new stylist and she immediately noted that I had a dry scalp condition and recommend me to see a dermatologist. I cut off all my damage dry ends and my hair has been so soft, moist, and flourishing ever since."

"I've been a customer for about 3 or 4 months now. Yolanda knows her craft and does it well. I love the fact that she takes the time to get to know her clients and their needs. I have natural hair after 2 years of growing the relaxer....tried to take care of it myself but didnt get too far. After a few months with Yolanda, my hair has grown longer and is much healthier. Plus after a few tips from her, it's much easier for me to maintain my hair between appointments.
