"I came in for eyebrow threading. I was upsold a wax service which to my knowledge due to their current signage was $25 for full face. I assumed she would be threading the full face, but agreed to wax with hesitations and informed her that I've never done wax before. I regret this deeply because I was later shown a different sign at $45 which contradicts the $25 sign. I never would have done the wax service had I known it would cost $45. To make things worse, my skin was fully ripped off. I had no experience to know whether this was normal. After and only after, was I given a waiver to sign regarding vital information needed prior to waxing. I assume was a way to damage control removing any liability. This waiver needed to be given prior to the service. I now have scars for a very important trip I was prepping for. She applied petroleum jelly on raw skin which traps bacteria in and told me to apply ice. I later read that ice is not recommended for post care. I am so upset that I walked in fully trusting of this service to be in such pain and also to have scars. I am going on a trip in 2 days which required me to be outdoors and now I risk permanent pigmentation. Ultimately full face treatment should be shown as partial waxing. I've had full threading for face before and trusted this would be the case, but I went along with the wax and never assumed this would be the end result. I even tipped. I'm hoping this can be resolved accordingly or refunded from the salon. Please inform your guests and remove incorrect signage because this could all have been avoided with the proper pricing and steps taken."
