"I come here to get my pedicures often but won’t be back. Here they typically paint your toes and do your stone afterwards. I waited over 20 minutes for her to come back and do my stone and she never returned. I’m seated and confused this entire time and no one in the shop says a word to me. I leave and talk to the lady upfront she checked the camera and she advised stone was used but I didn’t feel the warmth or anything from the stone. After she was done she didn’t say a word and just started on someone else’s pedicure. If she did it and I didn’t notice that’s a first, but the customer service has gone way downhill. So at the end they usually take the separators off your toes, hand your shoes back etc. That was never done, again why I had no idea she was finished. No communication or anything so hopefully I can find another Mansfield shop to do my nails. I was trying to post pics of this horrible pedicure and it won’t allow me since the lady is trying to tip shame me. Honey I don’t tip for bad service. The women didn’t take the separators or anything off of my toes. My friend told me my pedicure looks horrible. Polish left on skin, bad shape to nails."
"**Terrible Customer Service & Product** Booked an appointment with the manager Ann for 5:00 PM. after she let me know the nail tech I was hoping to get was out with her sick child likely for another week. I let her know I’m very particular about my nails, she stated she trained her and they have almost the same style so I felt good to go ahead and book with her. Well I get there, say I have an appt with Ann just for me to be sat with a nail tech named Thuy. I let her know it must be a mistake because I have an appt with Ann. Well she lets someone know and then the person who sat me with Thuy comes over and lets me know she’s Ann but “Thuy is so much better at P&W solar nails”. Mind you, Ann already has someone else in her chair & is just beginning a new set. Thuy at this point was noticeably irritated with the confusion (as if the manager Ann always does stuff like this). Thuy proceeded to do my fill…. Everything appeared to be going fine until I asked that one of my thumb nails be cut shorter because it was longer than every other nail. Then when I responded with the square shape I wanted (same thing I came in with) it seemed to bother her as well. After, she does the gel and doesn’t cover the sides of my nails. Of course I ask for her to go back over them and instead of doing that she began to file my nails again (sometimes happens b/c they’ll notice something we don’t), then just gets up, says she’s done, and walks away to start another customer’s nails. It’s now going on 6:30 and I’m just ready to go so I pay and I leave thinking it’ll be fine I’ll just get the right person next time. Welp, lucky me the next day (today) the side of one of my nails breaks. Now, I already didn’t care for my nails overall but with her attitude yesterday there was no point in complaining and I wasn’t about to pay another $20 to get one nail fixed somewhere else, so I go back. Ann (the manager) fixes my one nail, cleans up the others without me asking (which I appreciated) then once she finishes the conversation she’s having with another nail tech across the salon she lets me know that they don’t do a lot of pink & white solar nails, most of the techs there haven’t been doing nails as long, she will make sure I get me with the right person next time, I should have let Thuy know I wanted old school solar and not new school (I didn’t know there was a difference) and said it all with a smile, like she was just trying to be helpful and that’s how it took it…. Of course that all changes when I ask her to fix some of the gel at the end of my nail that she just did. Now, It’s almost a pea size glob of gel on the nail of my ring finger, of course I wanted it fixed and was thinking she just didn’t see it, no big deal, easy fix. That’s not the case though… Ann rolls her eyes, goes to file it off, reapplies the gel, then with an attitude asked me to double check it this time before I put my hand under the light to dry. Now, this women has gone out of her way to fix all my nails, not just the one, to then have an attitude over having to correct something I noticed and clearly she could see it once I showed her as I’m still sitting in the chair. I Just couldn’t believe this was happening… It shouldn’t have been an issue. This grown woman, a manager at that, said she has been in this business of doing nails for years, and is acting like this. I just had no words. Then, she finishes, and just walks away. It’s now not even an hour later and the gel is lifting off my nails. Unprofessional, rude, in need of some customer service training and better products. I will not be back and if you read this review and still choose Tropical Nails don’t be disappointed because I’ve already given you the heads up."
"First time here and loved it. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Clean place. I got my nails done by Delina. She did an amazing job. I’m very pleased, I will continue to go there."
"Seated as soon as I walked in and offered beverages. I had the pleasure of having Delena as my tech. I showed her the pic of what I wanted (black leopard) and how I wanted it (red leopard). She nailed it!!! I have no complaints at all"
"This place is always vusy because they are great at what they do. Diana is patient and has amazing attention to detail. Love it here. Pictured are my nails from a week ago, so they've grown out a little, but they never fail to give me great service"
