Charlie's BBQ

"We ordered our food to go. BBQ tasted good but was dry. But that night, all my co-workers were sick as dogs! Stomach cramping, throwing up and diarrhea. Thank you for the food poisoning. Never ordering from here again and never suggesting to friends."

"I get Charlie's at least once a month via Ubereats but stopped by yesterday afternoon after leaving the beauty shop for my monthly for brisket. I also decided to get a plain cheeseburger. I'm SO glad I did. I took a bite on my way home and almost had to pull over. I don't know what they did to this burger but it was SO juicy and well-seasoned. It's one of the best burgers I've had in a LONG time. A++++ Also, they gave me free bottled water which was nice. I'd already paid for my meal but realized I was thirsty and when they were about to ring it up a gentleman (maybe the owner or gen manager?)who was sitting in the dining area, told me to keep it & there was no charge. Sounds like a small thing, but sometimes those little acts of kindness mean a lot. I'm happy to give this place my business. Thank you. ❤️"

"The food was decent. The potato salad is mustard flavor which I prefer. So that was awesome. The brisket was well and so was the sausage. What made me give 3 stars was the young light complected man named Claudia who didn’t know how to act. He was talking ugly to the other coworkers like garbage and that made me feel very uncomfortable. And due to the integrity, I’d rather not give my money to a business who allows that. The food 4 out of 5 stars and the young gentleman made me give 2 out of 5 on the comfort level. Someone should do something about the way he treats other employees"

"Decided to try a new BBQ place tonight. Reviews were mixed but mostly good so we gave it a shot. The decor is great, outdoorsy with a lot of deer, boar, elk, etc. mounts, old saddles. And they were playing 70's disco music which we happen to like and at a reasonable level. Quick service (to be fair we were the only ones there at the time) I ordered the 3 meat plate with brisket, pulled pork, and St. Louis ribs. Sides of fried okra and potato salad. Wife ordered a brisket sandwich and sides of baked beans. The brisket was fair. It had a decent bark but from what I could tell little to no smoke ring. Flavor was okay but missing the smoke. The pulled pork was pretty tough and I didn't care much for the flavor. You get 1 rib. It was nice and tender, pulled from the bone pretty easy but again, missing smoke. The okra was amazing. Unlike many places that use frozen, pre-breaded okra this was fresh okra and fried when I ordered it. Very tasty with a nice, crunchy breading and since it wasn't frozen it had a bit of a bite (not all mushy). The potato salad was also very good. Not sure if it is house made or purchased but it was one of the better potato salads I've had. The BBQ sauce neither of us cared for. It's more of a 'Carolina' style with too much vinegar. The brisket sandwich would have been better if they toasted the bun. The baked beans I'm pretty sure were just canned beans not homemade. Price was about what you would expect from a BBQ place, we spent $40 for the meal."

"The food was great!! I was looking for some good Texas bbq and I found it. I ordered a plate with 2 meats and 2 sides. The meat was tender and very flavorful..loved the spicy sausage!! I ordered online for curbside pickup it was a very quick process and that was appreciated after a long day of work."
