"I’ve personally always like Golden Chick but this was my first time visiting the location in Cedar Hill. Wasn’t at all satisfied as at the time of writing this review, I’ve been wishing almost 20 minutes for simply a Spicy Chicken Sandwich & a Medium Order Of Fries. This is nothing short of ridiculous. Staff barely acknowledges you when ordering aside from saying “one minute” and putting you hold at the drive-thru speaker for nearly 10 minutes. I won’t be returning for second visit. I spend nearly 40 minutes in a drive-thru for a simple order. Staff should be ashamed for this level of customer service."

"I visited this location for the first time, thinking I would be in and out since there were only two cars in line. We ordered the special, which was a 9 piece leg and thigh. The young man who took our order asked if we wanted half fried have roasted. We said yes. However, when we made it around to the window. The woman at the window asked us if we knew that it would be a twelve minute wait. We told her No, we had not been told of the wait. She then proceeded to ask the young man loudly, "You didn't tell them about the wait? No, dont just shrug your shoulders. " She then turns back to us to tell us that it would be 12 minutes for the roasted chicken. We said that would be fine and asked her where we should pull to. So we pulled forward and waited for a little over twenty minutes. After four other cars had to pull forward to wait but received their items before us. Fifteen minutes into us waiting, a young man came out to each car asking their order. HE asked us what our order was. As soon as we told him, he immediately walked off. He didn't say anything. When he came back out five minutes later and went around to ask each car again. As he was walking around with the bag of chicken, the bag was bouncing against his leg. It was our order. When we made it home, the chicken was actually good. Considering how long we waited, we did expect the chicken to be hot. Despite the fried chicken being good, the service was so bad we will not be back. Our box was falling apart when we got home, and we also did not get one apology for the twelve minute wait that turned into twenty-two. Both my husband and I have worked in the service industry, and we were appalled at the lack of customer service skills. I hope the woman who addressed the young man was not a supervisor. She definitely needs more training"

"New location, but same service. Person after person kept coming in with missing items or wrong order. 1st walking in a lady was walking around trying to find out who ordered a meal. She looked outside & in, but found them outside sitting. They also charge you if you add an additional chicken if a different kind [.99]."
