"I had a tooth extraction and Dr. Knell was great. I don't know why there aren't more positive reviews for him. He is professional and shared exactly what he was going to do and while doing the extraction he told me every step he was making. The Post Op instructions were perfect and my recovery was immediate. I can't image having a smoother and more successful experience. If I ever need something like this done in the future Dr. Knell will be who I call."
"I have had three procedures and all went exceptionally well. I chose sedation for all of them. Dr. Knell is very intelligent and listens, and understood when I had to delay so I could store up some funds for the last procedure. I highly recommend!"
"Dr. Knell was very thorough in our consultation and we knew what to expect from our wisdom teeth extraction. My daughter had 2 of her upper wisdom teeth removed. It all happened very fast. She was put under the anesthesia and the teeth were extracted all in about 20-30 minutes. We picked her up around the back of the office and they were very considerate and put her in a wheel chair since she was still under the anesthesia. Her recovery was perfect. She did what she was told: no straws, no crunchy foods, ect.. and she healed in about 2-3 weeks. I would highly recommend Dr. Knell and his staff. Dr. Knell also called us the evening of the surgery to make sure my daughter was feeling ok. That meant alot to us."
"My first visit was marred by a rude staff and smug dentist. I suggested a tooth map that would make it easier for patient to follow treatment plan by printing the map as a mirror image of what the dentist and technicians see, but is exactly what the patient sees and experiences. He told me he would never do that because it was too confusing. Nevertheless I scheduled an appointment for three implants under sedation. Two weeks later, the day of the surgery, I had received no communication from the office, save for a text message telling me to type a "C" to confirm my appointment. An hour before the surgery I called to confirm my surgery. They told me yes it was on for 11:30a. I told them I was on my way. When I arrive at the reception desk the receptionist informs me that the surgery scheduled for 10 minutes from now will be cancelled if I don't give them $7600.00 dollars in advance. No problem, my credit card has a $9000.00 limit. Unfortunately I had spent $1500.00 over Christmas and my funds were insufficient. Still no problem. I can go online, transfer the funds into my credit card account through my bank and refill the card. But I can't find my phone. It fell out of my pocket in the car of my ride and he had left. Again no problem, I have my tablet with me. I turn it on, it runs for a few seconds and dies. I ask her if she has a USB-c charger. No. Do you have a computer I can use. No. I am forced to cancel the appointment. I leave and walk to a Holiday Inn. They are kind enough to let me use it. I go online, transfer the funds, go to the Austin Oral Surgeons website, make my $7600.00 payment and walk back over to the dental office. In the rain. I try to reschedule the appointment but the receptionist, some pregnant woman tells me she can see that I paid but she has to have confirmation from billing, which is in another office, to confirm the payment. Rather than call billing she then proceeds to send them an email and says she'll get back to me on Monday, (it's Thursday). She refuses to reschedule and I leave. When I get home I call billing. They confirm the payment and say they will connect me with the Cedar Park office. Even with the call directly from the billing office the receptionist still refused to reschedule but will call me on Monday after the payment has "posted". I told her not to call me. I should never have been told to come in. They should have contacted me a week earlier to alert me to prepayment policy again. Their "Treatment Proposal" even states that payment is due at least one week prior to surgery. I thought that I paid at the time I signed for the surgery. They had only charged me for the consultation. They should have contacted me a week ago and told me I still need to pay or they should have told me when I reached out to them that I need not come in because the appointment had been canceled for non payment. This office is lousy with secretaries and receptionist but they are totally lacking in communication skills and they wasted a lot of my time. Save yourself some irritation and find another surgeon."
"Dr. Knell removed my top 2 wisdom teeth just yesterday morning (12.6.19) and did a fantastic job! I was already feeling great the same day that late afternoon and even better this morning. The Doctor, himself, called the same day to follow up and ask how my recovery was going. He was very thorough and even welcomed me to call with any concerns or questions along the way. I am very pleased with his work and the whole friendly office/ staff team."
