"I went to Dr. Swonke as a 1st time patient after a piece of a filling came loose from one of my teeth. After an examination, I was informed that I would an inlay to repair the filling. Dr. Swonke’s team then proceeded to explain to me that this was more of a temporary solution and that my insurance would not cover this procedure. They explained that I could opt for a crown which is a more intensive procedure but would be a more permanent solution and my insurance would cover 50% of the cost. Seemed like a no-brainer. However, this was wholly untrue - my insurance did not cover this procedure whatsoever which I only found out weeks later after half of my tooth had already been shaved down. When I came for my next appointment and asked about this discrepancy, I was told that I could reschedule my appointment for that day to figure out the issue on my own (the appointment to finish the repair of my now half-tooth) or pay the balance required for them to finish the work. Given the discomfort I was feeling, I opted to pay the charge which in hindsight was a mistake. I continued to press them on the issue and after weeks they finally agreed to reimburse me for a $185 lab fee which pales in comparison to the $1,200 I was out of pocket. Dr. Swonke himself never took any accountability, apologized for the mistake, or even mentioned the issue which i found to be extremely unprofessional and immature. If you own and operate a business, it is your responsibility to be accountable to your customers when a mistake was made, even if that mistake was made inadvertently by one of your employees. They provided no support and essentially implied that it was my problem to figure out despite them giving me incorrect information that was the basis of my decision to begin with. Yet another greedy and unscrupulous dentist. On the bright side he did refer me to a good endodontist which is the only silver lining of my mistake in being a customer of Dr. Swonke. Beyond all this, be prepared to pay $15 in med center parking to visit Dr. Swonke’s office. I do not recommend Dr. Swonke if you are looking for transparent and convenient dental service."

"Dr. Swonke and his team are exceptional He is knowledgeable, honest, professional and funny. I took my kids for a second opinion, turns out that my daughter only needed 2 cavities filled and not 4. He was great helping her with her anxiety. All the hygienist are fantastic, specially Sherry. She treats you like family. Front desk (Maria) also wonderful. Wouldn’t go any other place. His practice is busy but worth the wait."

"I have been going to Dr Swonke for almost 10 years. He and his staff are great, patient and gentle. They are quick and efficient. I am always in and out of the office quickly with very short wait times. He has some of the best hygienist, dental assistants and front office staff. The newest edition to the staff is the sweetest emotional support dog, Piper, who is available a few days per week for patients. I highly recommend Dr. Swonke if you are in need of a new dentist."
