"Hello - I had to take some time to write this review to showcase the experience I had at BRSH dental. I hope people "DO NOT" consider this dentist after reading my experience. I visited the BRSH dental office on May-2023 for general cleaning and consultation. This was my second visit with this dental provider. Since I missed two of my cleanings in last year I knew I had some scaling. They suggested deep cleaning with an additional charge of $220 that I need to pay out of pocket based on my insurance estimates. I understood that this is just an estimate and paid ASAP during the visit. I have done those in the past where my estimate comes up sometimes little lower or higher. After my visit 2 months later they sent another bill that I still owed them $368 additionally. Unfortunately I moved to a new apartment and missed the bill for few months which they ended up sending to collections. I had to call my insurance provider "delta dental" to understand the disconnect since I visited only once the entire year this should have been covered. After multiple grueling calls with Delta & Brsh dental I had to uncover that , "BRSH" dental stopped using "delta insurance" from feb-2023 and my coverage is considered "out of network" and "delta insurance" will pay only 30% of $368 the charges on top of the $220 that I already paid. (Please note this is just for cleaning and descaling). My frustration with this dental office especially the office manager at "Brsh dental" is below things 1. They did not let me know during my May-2023 visit that my insurance status has changed to out of network for past 3 months although I have visited the same place as "in-network" year before that. At this point I have to assume that just for sake of taking money they will do anything to keep a patient by deliberately choosing to omit the truth. 2. Estimates they provided was completely out of whack and to understand that "brsh" was out of network took me 6 phone calls and 2 conference calls with Brsh and delta dental after this fiasco. 3. I had little time after I realized that they will send to collection to figure this entire thing. They could have easily given me some time to figure this out before sending to collections. But now I ended up paying 20% extra charge on top of it as collection fee. 4. Most importantly "Dr Tjao" adds fluoride toothpaste to every patient like a goodie bag but no single patient knows that they charge $22 and bill the insurance. It's like an add-on which they will make you believe as a freebie by deliberately choosing not tell you that this thing costs 6 times a normal toothpaste. ANYWAY DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THEIR SERVICE AND LOCATION. THESE GUYS ARE OUT TO MILK THE MONEY NO MATTER. HOPEFULLY THIS HELPS PEOPLE FROM DETTERING TO VISIT THIS DENTIST."

"I was referred to this place that’s why I went, I don’t have insurance I wanted transparency with pricing since I jut started working. I received my estimates for crowns and cleaning. Next visit I went for cleaning service and paid over a $800 that’s not what they said my first visit was going to be for my cleaning and have to come back to a second visit to finish it in a follow up visit. I asked the dental hygienist lady if my visit was included with no payment and she said no, don’t worry it is included with your visit. Now I called to make sure the follow up is included, a week ago sent a text to Rene but no reply now I had to call and Rene answer the call, I explained everything and asked to ask the Dr Tjoa she said no you have to pay, I said cancel the appointment. I still can’t believe that my teeth is not polished and not 100% cleaned yet because they don’t do everything in one visit to charge more in another visit. Transparency is the key and is not showing with this place, very disappointed to be referred to this place. Not very happy customer."

"It’s always a pleasure coming here. It’s not often you hear someone excited to go to the dentist but this place gives you a reason to be. My only regret is it took me 3 years living in Houston before I found them. Now I’ve been a patient for 3 years and can still say this place is the best. Top notch service, excellent staff, and a luxury office (I mean I get to look at a chandelier when I’m getting my teeth cleaned). Both hygienists I’ve seen, Pamela and Richard, are excellent at what they do, caring, and always have the best things to talk about. Dr. Tjoa is an incredible dentist and it is clear she fosters a good work environment as her staff are always welcoming and happy. Highly recommend!"
