"I have been going to Dr Carpenter since 2015 after having neglected my teeth for over 15 years. And to top that off, I have a severe anxiety issue. At that time, I had one of my front uppers which had shifted and hurt at the same time that I had another upper in the back of my mouth that caused nights of zero sleep. Pain was so bad, I passed out at work. Went to her, she extracted and the front of mouth, she did it PERFECTLY. She was determined to try and reverse all the neglect. She took great, superb care of me, has great referrals, and I respect her. Put it to you this way, last year 2023, I did not have any dental insurance, but I still saw her 3-4 times that year. She is inexpensive and I'm proud of her running her own business - she's nobody's lackey. She is conveniently located on Richmond near the hospital. If you live in that area, she's worth every penny and then some."
"I have gone to Dr. Carpenter for dental work on and off for about 7 years. Recently, I had some major work (crown, deep cleaning with scraping, and a tooth extraction) completed in another state where I live part time. Upon my return to Houston, I contacted Dr. Carpenter's office and asked if I could make an appointment as I wanted Dr. Carpenter's opinion on some soreness and pain I was feeling in and around the extraction site. Basically, I wanted a second opinion and I was hoping to get some pain relief. Dr. Carpenter patiently listened to my multi-month dental saga that I experienced in New Mexico and began trying to problem solve the discomfort I was experiencing. She spent almost 1.5 hours with me taking x-rays and checking my bite. She made some adjustments to my bite and the pain is gone! I cannot believe how much better my mouth feels after my appointment with Dr. Carpenter two days ago. The relief was almost immediate. I highly recommend Dr. Carpenter for any and all dental needs."
"I went to see Dr. Carpenter to fix a few cavities because she took my insurance, however I left her office with a jaw problem because she was leaning her heavy hand on my mouth instead of holding it up, getting cavity work is not easy since you have to keep your mouth open for a long time, but this isn’t my first time, she required me to wear the mouth stretcher because she couldn’t work without it, which I never had to wear with my last dentist when I got cavities and cleaning done. But that’s beside the point, once she finished my jaw was so tight and she said it’s just because of the numbing and it’s normal and will go down, but from then on for I began having problems with my jaw locking when I eat and also cracking, she obviously misaligned something and refused to admit it or help me or do anything. She said that’s boys normal. She is THE worst dentist, plus I had to go back to my old dentist to fix her fillings because she closed between my two teeth so I was unable to floss and was always feeling something stock in my teeth. I told DR. Carpenter about this problem as well but she said it’s just because it’s “new” it will go away. I would never recommend anyone to visit her office."
"I have been a loyal patient of DR. Anne Carpenter for over 15 yrs. I faithfully go to the dentist every 6 months and take x-rays once a year. Well after my appt in Feb, Carpenter said I need 1 route cancal and a possible. I went where she sent me (Ace Dental) and they said no, you need 3 root canals and that they would let Carpenter know. I felt uneasly and went for a second opinon to find out I needed 4 root canals. Needless to say, I ended up with 3 root canals and 1 tooth that could not be saved. I know need a bridge. This dentist has caused me multiple days of missed work and a 7,000 bill due to her medical negligence. I will be filling with Texas Dept of Dentistry and everyone else. Oh and when I signed a release of my medical records, she only gave me a email with my 3 teeth on it. This has been a nightmare!!!"
"Dr. Carpenter placed a crown on one of my live tooth's. I had a lot of complications and pain not to mention number of $ spent. When complained to her in writing about that she has not acknowledged any misconduct stating it was an untoward complication that was included in the consent process. I do not agree with such a conclusion and believe she simply misdiagnosed my condition. I have filed a claim with the TX State Dental Association. I would not recommend her services to any of my friends."
