"I visited Park Glen Dental Care as a first time patient for a routine dental cleaning but was very disappointed by the experience, which felt unethical and deceptive. During the visit, while I was already in the dental chair, the staff scared me into agreeing to perform a deep cleaning by saying I have gum disease periodontitis. This felt like a classic case of upselling under pressure and predatory sales behavior, which is inappropriate in a healthcare setting. After the procedure, I was informed that the cost would be $672.80 for the deep cleaning. However, to my shock, Park Glen Dental Care later submitted a claim for $1820 to my insurance. They said nothing about the fact they were going to charge me $1820 worth of work that day, when I just wanted regular cleaning, which was insane to me. This substantial increase in price was never communicated to me during my visit and included a surprise bill for special X-rays which I did not explicitly consent to nor was I informed of. Furthermore they waived my insurance copay without my consent or awareness in order to charge my insurance more. So instead of paying $672 my bill turned into $1820. Avoid this place at all cost. I later researched what they did by waiving the copay deductible was highly illegal and a tactic used to charge even money through insurance than had I paid upfront. When I confronted the office about the discrepancy between the quoted price and the insurance claim, their response was dismissive. They suggested that I should not worry about the difference and simply sign over the insurance check of $1000, ignoring the additional $820 they expected me to cover out of pocket. This blatant disregard for transparent pricing and ethical billing practices is alarming and fraudulent. There $1820 claim did not match what they wanted me to pay which is a clear red flag and insurance fraud. Moreover, their attempt to minimize the financial impact on me by suggesting the insurance would cover it, ignores the real cost to patients. This not only hurts my financial situation but also reduces the resources and insurance allowance available for future dental care. The practice charged me $1820 for deep cleaning and x-rays, but also quoted me $705 for a potential crown while I was there, which further highlights the inconsistency in their pricing strategy. To add insult to injury, they recommended that I return every three months for maintenance, which seems like another tactic to extract more money from patients. I felt exploited and treated like their cash cow rather than a human being, and my trust completely violated. Based on my experience, I strongly advise against using Park Glen Dental Care. Their approach to treatment and billing lacks transparency and integrity, prioritizing profit over patient care and trust."

The assistant was sweet and the doctor has amazing chair side manor, listens to concerns, and communicates treatment options well. He did 2 extractions on my 5 year old and made sure she was comfortable during the whole procedure and hugged her on the way out. Very caring office!"
