"Made an appointment 2 weeks in advance. They told me it never came through the system and they do not make appointments on Saturdays. I asked about other days and they still stated even if I make an appointment walk-ins come first if they show up before your appointment. So basically no point to an appointment. When you express your frustration with the manager he is arrogant. I asked what the point of an appointment is he stated “ it’s for an advisor not to get you in my shop” go to any other service certified service shop!"
"Came in at 4pm on a Monday for an oil change sat and waited until 4:07 for an advisor to come out of the office only to tell me they stop doing oil changes at 4. I said ok so do we just need to make an appointment and the advisor told me they don’t take appointments for oil changes it’s first come first serve. So I ask what if I work until 4 and he just gave me a shrug. He said there’s always Saturday and I said yeah we came up here Saturday and y’all were closed at 2 pm even though your hours listed online read 7. Avoid this service department unless you enjoy nonsense."
"Very disappointed with my experience here. I brought my 2002 Tahoe in for my check engine light being on. I made an appointment and dropped it off Thursday 5/4 with James Gray. I still had not heard anything on Monday 5/8, so I called around 1PM but was only able to leave a voicemail asking for an update. I received a call back around 4PM from James and he told me I needed a new engine, estimated at 9K to have replaced!! I asked him how they determined that it needed a new engine and he told me it had "low compression across the board." I told him I was surprised because it was still running, has not been burning oil or overheating, and only had 185K miles on it. He didn't offer any other solutions except that I could check into finding another mechanic to put a rebuilt motor in it. I spoke with friends and family that were mechanics and called back to ask him more questions. I asked him what the compression readings were in each cylinder and he was only able to tell me 65PSI in cylinder 3. I asked about the other cylinders but he was not able to give me an answer. When I picked up my Tahoe, he was not interested in talking to me again and instead immediately ushered me to the cashier and walked away. Cashier was very nice and the only positive in my experience here. On the receipt, it said "Pulled code P0300, found cylinder 3 misfire. Performed compression test and found low compression in cylinder. 65 PSI. Due to high mileage recommend replacing engine. Declined repairs at this time." When they pulled up my Tahoe, I could hear it running much, much rougher than ever before. It felt very wrong. I took it to a local mechanic I trust and when he looked under the hood, he found the coil pack and spark plug wire hanging loose. They had not even put it back in!!! He checked it and confirmed the problem in the one cylinder, but the others tested normal. The misfires stopped at higher speeds. He replaced the coil pack and all spark plugs. Check engine light has cleared and not come back on after 80 miles now. $275 fix and running beautifully now. Needless to say, I will NEVER be back after this!!"
"Thank you Moritz for the brand new floor liners - yes those are brand new. I didn’t know they came with free dirt as a bonus. This I was after making me wait an hour before they even worked on the car despite having an appointment. Was expecting the total job to take an hour but took nearly 2 hours and think that only happened because I checked on it an hour into me being there. Since I was already late, no time to take it back and have them clean the dirt installed on the new floor liners."
"I have had several major services and an upgrade completed here on my Corvette Grand Sport. All communication is completely professional, their work is spot on and completed quickly. Moritz Chevrolet Service is my go to for all my maintenance needs."
