"Great work. Daily txt messages made it a breeze. Constant contact. Vehicle came back clean and in great shape."
"Where to start. I have been a customer (unfortunately) at KK for 10+ years. The first thing I did once I found out my vehicle needed to go into A body shop was call and ask if Smiley was still employed. I was told he is enjoying retirement! However, the rest of the staff is all the same. “Same great service, and results.” I took them for their word. They advertise that they take the paperwork out of the equation so the customer is less stressed. Not the case. I had an appointment scheduled to take my vehicle in, my insurance is the one the made the appointment to have the vehicle dropped off. My appointment day arrived and I showed up and none of the ladies in the office had a clue as to why I was there. Then they proceeded to tell me that no insurance company has called and that they were sorry that my insurance company lied to me. You should have seen the ladies face the minute I told her that she didn’t need to lie, I was on a 3 way call with my insurance when they confirmed my appointment at this exact location. Once that awkwardness was over with we moved to the next process, I was supposed to leave my vehicle so that it could get an appraisal and then get repaired. The lady in the office had a different idea. She wanted to do an out of the pocket estimate so I could take it to the party that was at fault. Unfortunately that is absolutely backwards as to what my insurance wanted. My insurance told me that it will take a while because parts are on back order. I said that was fine not a big deal. Carstar said they would have the vehicle ready in a handful of days (5 or so). Of course it took about three weeks. I got a phone call on a Wednesday to tell me that they hadn’t started working on my vehicle because they were waiting for the parts to come in, they had arrived so my vehicle will be ready on Friday. I said awesome. Then Friday I got a phone call saying that the wrong parts were ordered so the vehicle should be ready tomorrow… so it took three weeks to get the wrong part and now your telling me y’all can get the right part in one day??? I didn’t hold my breath. About a week later they did receive the right part. They informed me that the vehicle was ready for pick up. Let me tell you the vehicle was NOT ready for pick up. I went in and wow, the quality and workmanship was horrible. You could see the sanding lines from the body filler through the paint. The paint had so many imperfections including cloudy, and multiple sections of fish eyes. They didn’t even tape off the rubber seal on the back tail gate so paint was literally flaking off. A dent that was apart of the accident wasn’t even touched. The parts that they waited for were not seated properly on the weatherproof seal so the seal literally flapped around. Then as I am continuing my inspection I notice that the shark fin antenna is not straight, it’s pointing to the right of the vehicle, I go up and touch it and its as lose as can be. I look at the supervisor in disbelief. Then we get to an area where there were dents on the body line and the body line was still not straight. Going back to the part where they say they handle all the paperwork. When they called me to tell me my vehicle was ready I was told I only needed to show up with my deductible. When I got there they wanted a check from the insurance company. I was so confused, I specifically told both the body shop and my insurance that I will not be dealing with anything. They need to talk to each other and the insurance will directly pay the body shop. I cannot believe that they were ok sending a customers vehicle out like that. This is not the “Same great service, and results.” I refused to pick up the vehicle. I let the supervisor know and he said he would have it corrected. No one should have to point all that out, that should be apart of their outgoing inspections. I am concerned that my vehicle will start leaking since all the seals were not installed correctly. Hopefully the 2nd time around they will spend more time ensuring that the vehicle gets fixed correctly."
"Changed my appointment without permission, then go and say it's just an estimate appointment despite the fact I had already taken it over to the estimator. Complete waste of time it wasn't even a hard job for them to do."
"They had great customer service and support. They let me know when the car was in the shop, what parts they were waiting for, and when the car was ready for pickup. We did have to bring the car back for one minor thing, but it was fixed promptly within a few minutes of being there. Thanks for the great experience!"
