"Look no further for dental care in the RGV. This place is it! For years I have been commuting to a dentist up north, fearing that the cost of dental care here was unsustainable. Not to mention that finding a dentist you can trust is just as difficult as finding the right hairstylist or romantic partner: it takes time! To my and my husband’s great relief, I have finally found “the one”! The entire staff at McColl Dental Center (from the receptionists Adam & Rosie, to techs Irene & Joanna, the hygienist Sally, and of course the esteemed dentist, Dr. Emma Carrillo) make one dynamic team! Collectively, they have redeemed my hope in dental care in our region and made me feel like family instead of a walking dollar sign. Their skill as professionals is also elevated indeed. My teeth feel SO clean! Instead of an assembly line-vibe, even their space is welcoming and calming. From the beautiful waiting room where the history channel is playing (love that!) to the patient rooms overlooking a serene garden with a pond waterfall to boot, this place feels like home. Who says that about a dental office honestly?! No one! Plus, how outstanding is it that Dr. Carrillo took the time herself to sit down with me and discuss a recent surgery I had before applying anything to my teeth that might counteract medications I’ve been prescribed. I find this degree of initiative, motivation, and energy to be, as I said, outstanding in any venue, but coming in the midst of what I imagine is a consistently busy schedule, and also in the midst of an ongoing pandemic, I find it doubly so. Compassionate individuals like Dr. Carrillo and her all-star staff are rare gems which come along but very infrequently. I feel their sincerity in every conversation we have.
