"Yesterday, I saw and was impressed with the Restaurant Week menu for @allorapearl. Amazingly, I was able to make reservations through Tock. We were seated at the balcony area, and Emily was our very attentive server. Hubby had the Highwheel Hefe, I had the Mia Cara, and Dad had Lemonade. The Restaurant Week Menu had great choices. The liver mousse was outstanding with the cherry jam. By the time we got to the third course - grilled rainbow trout and quail - we were so full. We all shared the Pistachio Gelato and I had a bite of the Lemon Curd. Definitely had some food to take home. Great spread and tastings of food! Go hungry!"
"Reading through the rest of the reviews...I must have caught an extremely off night at this restaurant. We had an extremely disappointing experience. The service was great, the food pretty, but the food itself was not good at all. We shared the allora bruschetta which was unique and pretty good. My wife had perhaps a quarter of her rather tasteless veal scallopini which looked like it had been just thrown together. I ate a lamb shank which wasn't trimmed at all and had just an insane amount of unrendered exterior fat on it. A huge glop of unappealing and inedible fat cap. We were extremely disappointed and I usually give places two chances, but our experience was bad enough that I can't justify another visit."
"Very nice high end restaurant. I was there for the weekend buffet and it was excellent. Very wide selection of offerings. I normally eat a vegetarian diet and I had absolutely no problem getting my fill. The grilled asparagus was grilled perfectly and the kale salad was delicious. The deserts were equally delicious and not to go unmentioned the servers were excellent at their jobs and were very attentive to our needs."
"If the purpose of the cuisine at Allora is to be reminiscent of the Mediterranean, they have succeeded! The food is flavorful without being “heavy” and you can tell the pasta is made in-house/fresh. The octopus and potato app was perfectly grilled and tender (not over-cooked and chewy) and the potatoes were crisp on the outside and pillowy on the inside. The prosciutto app was a disappointment. It was served on large slices of bread and the portion of actual prosciutto was tiny. The pasta was served hot and al dente. The sauce was rich and creamy. The pork was a little on the overly fat side, but was cooked well. The lemon curd dessert was really good. It wasn’t overly sweet and was a great ending to our meal. My only “complaint” was with the service. Our waitress only came to the table to drop off food and seemed like she didn’t want to be there. It’s a small, kind of funny shaped restaurant, but I look forward to more meals on the patio in the spring and fall."
"It was our first time here. We went during Culinaria restaurant week so we would try more plates without braking the bank. We were seated on the patio and even thou it was cold we got a warmer close to us. The menu was 4 course prefix menu for $55 per person. Not bad at all for the amount of food we got. We were a party of two so we decided the get 2 different menus so we could try at least 8 different dishes. Wow. Presentation and ambiance is on point. Flavor leaves you speechless. Everything is delicious. Reservation is highly encouraged and look for alternative parking since parking at The Pearl is becoming expensive. Definitely coming back! Well done!"
