"The hygienist was extremely rude and degrading to my son. Yes he had cavity and decay. He also has a genetic disorder which causes it. The way she spoke to him was degrading. Dr Hollen upheld the behavior of her hygienist, which was anything less than professional, when I spoke with her. His adult sister took him in for the appointment, as she had, had an appointment earlier and wasn’t unsatisfied with the other hygienist or Dr Hollen. However the upholding of her employees behavior was concerning. When a patient is already nervous and especially a child and your web page puts how they make their patients fell comfortable and that they come up with a treatment plan and future plans, speaking to them in a degrading shameful way is not appropriate and doesn’t help. Knowing how to treat, a patient with a medical condition that’s very difficult to deal with when it comes to their dental health is imperative to the line of treatment. While Dr Hollon may be aware of the medical condition her staff was not, nor did Dr Hollon even know if her staff (which she also brags about on her web page as to how trained and knowledgeable they all are) has ever taken care of a patient much less a child with the condition before opening her mouth to the pediatric patient. The treatment of a patient with this problem is tricky at best. While I have no doubt she is aware of the genetic disorder, at least she said she was, she was not knowledgeable as to how bad it can be. There’s no text book to it. Some cases are very un-textbook and difficult. But shaming a patient that is trying to overcome their problem and is trying to get things taken care of should always be treated tenderly. This definitely did not help the process of trying to overcome a handicap. If you are a patient that has a medical disorder or handicap, are apprehensive, or have just gone a while without dental work and are searching for a practice that will be non judgmental, kind and willing to work through what ever you have going on….. this is definitely NOT the practice for you."

"I had 2 crowns done in 2014 which promptly fell off within a month or so. They then glued the one back on too high and had to grind it to the point of ruining it. Fast forward to today. Both of those teeth have infections in them and need root canals. I was told my bite had been to heavy on these teeth which may have contributed to the problem. (some coincidence!!) Also the one has a cavity under it which means the crown was a poor fit and did not protect the tooth it was glued to. I have had some crowns last 20 years, these did not even make 3 years. Now it looks like I am in for a $2000.00 bill to fix these 2 teeth because insurance only covers a crown once every 5 years. The infection has eaten part of my jawbone so they may have to be pulled after all is said and done. Update 1-15-19 5 year wait to get my crowns redone was almost here. The one tooth that they put the crown on and I later had to have a root canal in got infected. Seems it had cracked in half. Just had it pulled today. Nice people but the results have been the worst dental experience I have had in 50 years."

"Joann and her entire team were very professional, and they new what they were doing. I had gone to a dentist in Georgia due to our move, and he botched a crown procedure. This required me to go see Dr. Hollen, and they took the very best care to ensure that I was comfortable. I recommend her a 100 times over any other dentist I've ever been to. P.S. I don't do dentists."

"I am 100% satisfied with Dr. Hollen. She has been my dentist for the last several years. I can call anytime for an appointment and they are there for me. Her staff is awesome and very professional. They take interest in my teeth and the teeth of my family. Most trips to the dentist are as a result of not taking care of them. She has me on a program and all I do is show up, she does a little maintenance and I am good to go. I recommend her 100%. She is pretty cute too."
