"The brisket and ribs are delicious and had a great smoky flavor. I highly recommend the potato salad and Mac and cheese sides. Both were really good and looked homemade. Our server, Joshua, was very attentive and we really enjoyed him. The service was great!"
"We picked this restaurant to have an Anniversary celebration. The ambiance of the place seems festive and colorful. I think we ordered the main feature: brisket and ribs. Flavor and presentation were ok. It was somewhat disappointing that it was not hot enough. It was just warm as if it waited a while before they served it. It missed the “freshly” cooked character. Next, unfortunately, the coleslaw. The traditional recipe calls for shredded cabbage. This was chopped in squares kind of hard to pick up with the fork. We prefer shredded cabbage. And then, while I was enjoying our chips and queso, I chew on something that felt kind of strange. Surprise! I was chewing on a small rubber band in the cheese! I have to mention that the waiter was apologetic and contacted the manager. The message was that they were sorry and they wouldn’t charges for the rubber band, just joking, they wouldn’t charge us for the cheese, and they replaced it with a fresh one in the dish In addition, they offered a free dessert. I understand that those things happen and it doesn’t seem that could be the norm of service at that place. Definitely, I will give it a second try sometime in the future, I’ll make sure I mention that I need a hot plate for my food so that I can enjoy it longer warm on the plate."
"We had a nice lunch here today with delightful staff. Pulled pork was perfectly cooked and seasoned. It was a great deal of food too! I like the rustic and country vibe!"
"Nice BBQ restaurant right on the River Walk. Bar tender Henry was friendly and other staff was great too. Had the beef ribs. Huge rack, and tasty. Sides were plentiful compared to typical BBQ joints. Everything is bigger in Texas until you eat it! I recommend going here."
"Have to start off by stating the service is excellent! The servers were fast and friendly. Sadly, the food is subpar at best. Any Texan, who has ever been to a real BBQ establishment will just leave shaking their head. The pork ribs were on the level of a chain like Dickey’s. Meh. The brisket tacos they brought out, the meat looked like overcooked pot roast your great aunt made. Calling it brisket is a joke. Save your money and go elsewhere for good BBQ."
