"It was a typical sushi restaurant. Service was good. The vegetable tempura was almost all potato slices. Two little pieces of broccoli and that was it. Not a good appetizer and I wouldn't order it again. The sushi was good. Nothing wowed but it wasn't bad."

"We went here based on high reviews and what a disappointment. The food is expensive and not worth the value I’m sad to say. One of the platters with sushi and sashimi was 12 pieces and the same 3 proteins. No variety of fish and just basic tuna, salmon and snapper for all 12 pieces, not even good flavor. All 3 rolls we ordered were not very good. The flaming role and torched topping tasted like butane, so we had to scrape off the charred stuff which was half the roll. And the combination of flavors was just not good, like cheddar cheese, fake crab and shrimp?! The double spicy was hard to taste because of the torched top, it also tasted like lighter fluid. The crab was low quality imitation and just wasn’t pleasant. Big roll was okay, but half the role came with sauce and the other without. Also didn’t like that it was hot and cold inside and wasn’t a fan of asparagus and shrimp. All of the fish tasted fishy, so it definitely wasn’t fresh. And even the iced tea tasted a bit like sink water. It was all just bizarre and not good. Certainly couldn’t understand why 4.5 stars. Service was good though; polite and attentive to refills. Atmosphere is pretty dated but nothing wrong with that. The food was not good and SO expensive for what you get. Such a shame!"

"This is probably my favorite sushi place in Louisville. The sushi (and other food) is always delicious, the service is friendly and quick, and it's a charming little place right on Frankfort Ave. Great place for a date lunch or date night with lots to do up and down the road from it. Street parking only as far as I know but there are usually spots fairly close."
