"This is the worst Wendy’s I’ve ever been to, no matter what you do they tell you to pull up saying “meat isn’t ready” why is meat not ready at 5:00 pm which is prime time? Then if you try to voice your concern you’re told to tell someone who cares. I wouldn’t send my worst enemy to this horrendious establishment."
"Frankly, service here has been very hit-or-miss for years, but lately, it's definitely been more "miss." Today was an exceptionally bad experience. And since I had no luck contacting Wendy's directly to address the issues, a review seems to be the best option so at least other potential customers can save themselves the aggravation. First things first: the food is fine. If you get it. Good luck with that. The last two visits we've made, including today, they've been "out of potatoes." Okay, fine, frustrating and disappointing, but it happens. But if I've already paid $4.49 for a potato that supposedly doesn't exist, I am going to expect a refund. I don't think that's asking for anything unreasonable, as long as we ask nicely. What is unreasonable is the rude attitude from the Wendy's cashier over a customer requesting a refund for food they didn't get. It's not the first time, either. There have been multiple occasions, overall a period of years, where we ordered and paid for something only to be told after the fact that something is not available. Getting a refund for those missing items has never been easy. Employees always seem to be shocked that we don't want to pay for something we didn't receive. Today was not the first of all those experiences, it was just the worst one. To clarify, I also understand that not every employee can process a refund. No big deal, I've worked fast food, I get it. Just get the manager or senior employee who does have that ability. I'll wait. But again, rudeness is neither necessary or appreciated. And "she's busy right now working the drive-through" isn't a good enough excuse. Stomping away in a huff isn't going to do anyone any good, either. Oh, and here's a key bit of advice: if you're going to claim to be "out of potatoes," you probably shouldn't follow that up by miraculously finding a couple of potatoes for the next customer, while we stand there watching. Even more importantly, you should probably also make sure your coworkers know about your lie and are willing to back you up so they don't sell you out by immediately finding the potato you claimed didn't exist. I probably would've overlooked all of this if it had just been a case of rudeness or a lack of proper training, but the dishonesty, on top of all that, was just a little too much. Thank you to that second employee, though, the one who actually did his job. He wasn't a manager, as far as I know, just another employee who noticed that there was a problem. No idea what his name was, unfortunately, but we appreciate him. We don't know anyone who works at Wendy's. No idea what this original cashier's issue was, but she was rude and dishonest. I wish this wasn't the case, but it's not really surprising that there are so many negative reviews online for this store. We did eventually get everything that we paid for, and at this point, we do not need anything more than that. But it wasn't worth the hassle. I truly hope this Wendy's can get these issues corrected, but until then, I just can't recommend it to anyone."
"I went into order a chicken sandwich for lunch and it was 5 minutes before anyone even spoke to me. It took over 10 minutes to make the food. I ordered a chicken sandwich because I'm highly allergic to pork. There were bits of bacon stuck all over the bottom of my sandwich making it inedible for me and a waste of my money. I will not be back to this location again"
"I've always loved the good tasting food here. I've seen a few times, rude employees at the drive thru. They seem to not greet, smile or thank. For the most part, the food is always tasty, but the employees have a big impact on whether or not to stop in. I've also seen they often forget items ordered. We've decided more lately to visit the Beaver Dam Wendy's. The food is always better and employees friendlier than the Central City location. Update: very recently I've noticed workers at drive thru are more polite, just the ones inside could use training in greeting or acknowledging the customer."
"Good place to eat. The restaurant wasn't very busy, so the order didn't take long. We got our order correct, and the food was hot."
