"My husband and I made a reservation here for our first valentines celebration as a married couple. Overall we enjoyed the food and drinks but they seemed to be out of a lot of menu items. I got mushroom ravioli which was great and my husband got a burger either a couple sides to try. The scalloped potatoes did have a texture issue due to timing but the flavor was good. The Mac and cheese was really great. My husband enjoyed his burger. The blackberry bourbon smash was solid. Not too sweet, and the bourbon still came through. The brownie was delicious, definitely a really gooey melty brownie in the best way. Overall, it's a great date night spot and we'll probably be back."
"Well, my wife and I just loved our dinner at the Rickhouse! We got very lucky to get I. Without a reservation (so I recommend you make one) and the front desk staff was kind and helpful. Our server was prompt and kind even though he was busy, and attentive to our every need throughout the meal. My old fashioned was perfectly made and my wife enjoyed her glass of Pinot. The dinner rolls were fresh baked, delightfully and delicately crispy on the outside and perfectly tender and fluffy inside with a wonderful butter drizzle. I had the ribeye which was wonderfully lightly seasoned and juicy at mid rare. The Brussels sprouts were perfectly cooked and the balance of flavors with the bacon and dried cranberries was a treat. The asparagus was cooked and seasoned just right as well. My wife had the filet and loved it and delighted in the potatoes as gratin. We nearly passed on dessert, and caved at the last minute for the cheesecake with blackberries. The cake itself was incredibly high quality delightful in both texture and taste, and the blackberries made it sing compared to the vastly overused raspberries found in other restaurants. Overall, the feel of the interior set a nice ambiance for the experience. Exterior lighting and signage could be improved to make finding the front door easier, and the quality of the fit and finish of the restroom surprised me a bit for a restaurant at this price point and quality everywhere else. I’d call this a must visit if you are in bourbon country!"
"Our server Josh was awesome did an excellent job the sides were hit or miss. The brussel sprouts were excellent, the mushrooms were Bland and tasteless, everything across the board had way way too much cheese, they all gratin potatoes and the hot brown we're hard to taste the potatoes or the meat because of the overwhelming cheese sauce. Only real knock on the place was the way they tried to calculate a cash discount and then put it on your bill it really wasn't a discount but a credit card surcharge. After explaining to the manager how it wasn't legal to do it the way she did she made it corrective action. Nice atmosphere a good place check your receipt but I'd go again."
"This was a total miss for us and it came highly recommended. It was not easy to find the front entrance as it's tucked under the stairs if the main building entrance. Once inside it is dank and dark. We were seated immediately and the hostess was kind. The waitress was abrupt, not very nice, and would disappear for large pockets of time. She was cocky about the bourbon selection "we have everything" yet it was a miss on the first 3 we requested. We ordered appetizers that were ok at best and not worth the price. Presentation was lack luster and food was fair. Blackened steak tips were overcooked and chewy. Shrimp cocktail was basic and the warm brie salad was served like from a diner. We decided to leave and get dinner elsewhere. Would not recommend."
"Upscale dining with a bourbon barrel Rickhouse themed atmosphere. Service was top notch and the food came quickly (even the very thick Pork chop, we hesitated ordering it as the menus stated it takes 40 minutes). Entrees were delicious!"
