"The best toy store that I've ever seen! They had unique, high quality toys organized in many distinct genres (books, dinosaurs, cars/trains, blocks/building, dolls, puzzles, outdoor/kites, fantasy/roleplay, etc.) and all at fair prices. It really opened my eyes to how cool toys can be, especially when most retailers just offer boilerplate molded plastic junk. This store is a gem! Their staff are friendly and knowledgeable too. My two year old needed a diaper change, and I was wowed by their family changing room complete with free diapers, wipes, and hand sanitizer. They cater to their customers!"
"All of our other trips to Terra Toys have been 5 star experiences. This last visit was a 1 star experience. As we were checking out, the cashier made an odd comment after looking suspiciously at the kite we purchased and said, “If it rips or anything, you can’t return it here. You can contact the manufacturer though.” He wasn’t rude but it was the tone he used. As if he knew these kites are trash and that they have dealt with people trying to return them in the past because of how poor the quality is. I’ve never had anyone say something like that to me when purchasing something. It really sounded like he expected something to go wrong. I mean, if you’re selling products at your business you should be selling products that you stand by. Unfortunately, the kite did let us down and it is a piece of garbage. We got it yesterday and it’s already in the trashcan. It wouldn’t fly and immediately out of the package pieces were breaking off. Yikes. Definitely not worth $15. Our 2 year old son had a stressful day yesterday after an injury and we thought this would cheer him up. Unfortunately, he was crying and frustrated when we couldn’t get the kite to fly. Word of advice to Terra Toys, please pull these kites from your shelves. They are clearly cheaply made and aren’t worth $1 let alone $15. And yes $15 isn’t much when you actually get use out of the item, when you don’t get to use it though, it is a waste of money and really frustrates us. One positive is that the space themed kickball we got our son (along with the kite) is awesome and he loves that! Also the customer service here is friendly and helpful."
"A flight of fancy for children ages 1-85... what a fun place! Recently stopped by Terra Toys to return a Christmas gift (duplicate), taking a couple of young grandchildren along. It was their first time there. OMG! Sensory overload... LOL So many things to see, and something for everyone. Toys, both old and new, candies, books, stuffed animals, spy kit stuff, crafts, games... we had to talk them into leaving the store, but only with a promise to return soon! LOL Recommend Terra Toys, super fun place to explore..."
"It was a pleasant first visit! I asked if there was a jellycat section and the staff member led me to the plush section with most of them. Some dragon jellies, unicorn jellies, and huge jelly bunnies were displayed throughout the store. It was like a treasure hunt. They even dedicated a section to ricky the rain frog."
"We were on our way to Dragonslair and accidentally pulled up here because of the large dragon bust on the front of the building, but the longer we sat in the car and looked at it the more we knew we HAD to go in. Omg, I’m so glad we did. This is literally the coolest toy store we’ve ever seen. Lots and lots of cool trinkets and toys, all very cohesively organized. Modern and toys of yesteryear. On top of everything there was a lot of local art featured and for sale. I really loved the “local artist sticker machine”. Cool place! I hope to visit again next time we’re in Austin."
