Impellizzeri's Pizza

"Visiting Louisville and continuing my search for the best pizza. This place claims they were voted best in KY so I didn't even question placing a big to-go order for the whole family. Looked at photos from Google reviews and the toppings and pizza looked great. Got my $120 worth of pizza home and opened the boxes. Looked nothing like the pictures of big chunks of sausage. Barely looked like there was anything other than pepperoni on what was supposed to be a meat pizza. Didn't even look like the same pizza at the photos others posted at all. So much so that I went back and checked like three times that I had actually ordered from the right place. Pizza was OK, and that's being generous. The "garlic sauce" that came with the breadsticks literally had no taste. It was so weird we all kept tasting it trying to figure out what was going on. It was like tasteless liquid butter. Needless to say I was really disappointed. I was soooo looking forward to some great fresh pizza and it just wasn't."

"Pizza was ok. The toppings on the pizza seemed like they were old and cook several hours before as they were really hard. The garlic beard could have been cook a lot longer. Something I ate here missed with my stomach."

"Terrible service the waitress obviously didn't like my spartan hat and did her bare minimum to serve us while every table around us was treated completely different. My drink came in cup that should have been thrown away and the pizza was terrible and under cooked. This used to be my favorite pizza in Louisville but I'll never spend money here again"

"No hot drinks, Mostly pizza with 6 pasta dishes and 4 sandwiches. Only spaghetti and penne pasta available. I had pasta with meatballs. Meatballs (3) were large and meaty. The sauce was good but not exceptional. It came with 2 large bread sticks that were exceptional! The menu says that they are baked on site and I believe it. They came with just enough olive oil and grated cheese. Really good. Service was friendly and quick (5 stars), but I ordered penne and was given spaghetti. So 4 stars for service. Price was ok."
