"Our local Academy on Harlem Road at 99 is a newer store. It is clean and the employees are helpful. I was looking for a new pair of hiking boots and the selection was good and the prices fair. I wandered over to the guns and hunting side if the store and ammo is plentiful in all calibers. Yeti must be latin for "ridiculously expensive" they were selling 10 ounce wine tumblers for $26. The coolers didn't even have prices on them I assume to prevent consumers from either laughing hysterically or having a heart attack. Nevertheless, this is a top shelf Academy! Update: Same holds true."

"Love Academy for the selection, service and friendly staff. Everything from hunting and fishing to tennis and golf, bikes and boats, grills and tennis gear. Shoes and boots, clothing for leisure to sports, hunting to swimming and more. Well laid out store with clearly marked and staffed sections for every major line. Great product selection and prices are very reasonable across the brands. Helpful staff with knowledgeable insight from sizing clubs to bikes. Ammunition selection has been fairly consistent and while prices are a tad high they are on par with other retailers. Firearm selection and prices are also good. They have a great selection of accessories to include cases, scopes, sights, holsters, safes and more. Shoe and boot area is great and the selection is great. Staff there is knowledgeable about sizing and use. They have become my go to for all my causal, athletic and training footwear."
