"I shopped and sold clothes years ago, horrible experience where it depended on the girl who looked through the clothes and her style/liking. I brought in two trash bags of clothes (fast forward to 4-5 years later) and out of over a hundred pieces of GOOD clothing, they picked out 5. FIVE. I donated the rest because I don’t have the energy to argue or find a donation box. These girls don’t acknowledge customers, look like they hate their job, you have to ask them for a dressing room because they’ll ignore you just standing there. This company needs to hire better employees, these young teenage/early 20 year old girls lack so much knowledge of the real world and importance of customer service."
"To say this place has gone down hill over the years is the understatement of 2023. I’ve been coming to this Plato’s for nearly a ‼️DECADE and with every passing year I visit, prices do NOT reflect the condition of the clothing. I don’t usually write reviews but I feel it’s necessary today. I found a Hoodie priced at $18 that had stains, tears, noticeable sweat stains on pits and neck, and crazy pilling…$18 yall!!! C’mon. Not just the hoodies but EVERY isle I walked through had clothes that make me question the rules and regulations for purchasing because when I take clothes they are quick to pass on all MY named brand, in season, freshly washed excellentttt clothing. The amount of clothes on the racks is excessive I literally struggled to look at anything because they jam so much clothes it’s impossible to move any of it no matter how strong you are. Sadly, today will be my LAST visit. I asked for a fitting room and NOT A SINGLE WORD SPOKEN from the employees. I desperately purchased the only wearable hoodie (imo) and when I checked out the only words to me was my total. Not a thank you, goodbye, NOTHING."
"Absolute worst experience I’ve ever had at a Plato’s closet. Brought my son to shop and they turned the lights out at 5:30p. Closing time is 6pm…I asked why the lights were off and was told that they do that to let customers know they are closing. The store isn’t that big…So I’m confused as to why this is the method used to notify your customers that the store is closing soon. Shopping in the dark is not an ideal experience. Whoever the franchise owner is should address this with management ASAP! Is extremely unwelcoming!"
