"Great atmosphere and excellent sushi. When you order sushi, be sure to ask for wasabi and ginger, it does not come with your order. The space is beautiful but the high ceilings and hard surfaces make it a little loud"
"We had a delightful dinner. The three of us shared various dishes, rolls, and all 3 deserts. Our tab with no alcohol was $267 plus tip. Nothing we had blew us away. This may be because we just returned from NYC where we had the most amazing Omakase experience at Sushi Blossoms. 1900 is good but not great and came no where near the food quality of our dining at Sushi Blossoms. Two things irked me about 1900. One being the bathrooms. The Carpenters have the same bathroom theme here and at UpScale. Which is an all black, low light bathroom. I find this portrays an attempt to hide sanitation flaws and shows of being unkept. Bathrooms should be bright and white ish. The other issue was our servers lack of attentiveness. Our tea and water were dry often. And when I asked for coffee, her snobbish reply was, “coffee isn’t very Japanese”. LMAO. Well then neither are 7 Hispanic sushi preparers! FYI, they drink a lot of coffee in Japan."
"The atmosphere and decor is beautiful. The place is spacious, and with having a full house, it didn't feel too crowded either. We came for Restaurant Week to try their menu. It was delicious. I was hesitant with the miso soup because it had a dash of truffle oil, but it worked! I was pleasantly surprised how the flavors compliment each other. The 2nd course was delicious as well with 3 different nigiri. The wagyu skewer was my favorite. It was glazed with garlic hot honey---delicious. The chrysanthemum honey ice cream was a wonderful ending---refreshing, palate cleanser. We ordered from their regular menu as well. The eggplant is a must. I always go for chicken karaage, but this had a different taste, almost a sweet/tangy---it was delicious! Unagi is my usual go-to for sushi, but unfortunately I was not impressed. It was too tough and rubbery. Hopefully it was a bad batch, because everything else was delicious."
"The dining experience at the restaurant was generally very pleasing, especially with the enticing omakase choices from the raw bar. However, a few kitchen dishes had minor issues like the A5 waygu being served cold when it had supposedly just came off the grill, same goes for the fried lobster and scallop. The entire omakase was comprised 19 dishes, with half originating from the sushi bar and the remaining half from the kitchen. Additionally, it's noteworthy that the entire omakase experience lasted approximately 3 hours and was $150 plus $50 for the sake pairing."
"My experience a successful one. From The moment I walked into the restaurant all the way till I left. I was greeted and bid goodnight. Shown to my table. (I had a reservation) My server Lily was professional, courteous and attentive as well as the other servers that assist. My food… well Lily gave me some recommendations and they were excellent and delicious recommendations. I had the Lemon Kani, Temaki Chasu, and Shrimp Tempura. My drink I order a signature cocktail the Hyaku Espresso Martini. (Loved my Martini…It was delicious)and a Lemon Ginger tea. For Dessert the vanilla white chocolate ice cream with shaved ice. All the servings are well portioned. Ambiance is beautiful and tasteful. Will I come back…. Definitely. Thank you to all the hard working team at Nineteen Hyaku who made my experience a 10"
