"It was easily the best visit to a Hot Topic in a long time. Got some Lorcana cards and clothes. The ladies working there were very helpful!!!"
"I love Hot Topic! Their unique, stylish, and high-quality clothes fit me well and they have exclusive items from various fandoms like Studio Ghibli, Sanrio, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, etc. The employees here are friendly and welcoming! Prices are a bit on the high side, but there are discounts and a rewards program that you can utilize. Overall, highly recommend!"
"Staff are extremely polite and helpful. I went in last month as I was in the state on fall break with my girlfriend and the atmosphere was great. Helped me decide what to purchase and the cashier (I forgot her name I’m so sorry I think she said Cantaloupe) was so friendly. Big ups fr"
"I hate having to leave reviews like this but there have been consistent issues at this particular location that don't reach expectation compared to other Hot Topic locations. There's never a large selection of metal or rock bands' merchandise, it is often crowded and lines are poorly managed (which isn't completely on the staff but still contributes to a worse shopping experience), and staff without fail are always pushy about getting your personal information. I understand a couple questions here and there about an email, phone number, etc. because of employee quotas, but in my experience it is the main reason I avoid this location for months at a time or order online. I have consistently been treated differently or hounded/guilted for an extended period of time during my purchases for not wanting to offer a phone number. Today my experience was bad enough to make me want let others know to avoid Lakeline's Hot Topic. I went to make my purchase with my much younger sister, and originally was pulled out of the line to pay with card on an employee's ipad, to which that took about 5 minutes of questions and waiting for the products to be de-tagged / scanned (albeit slowly and amongst two employees chatting with one another). Thinking this would be it I let it slide, but the employee ended up needing the register anyway, which moved us back to the main line to check out with yet another employee. Then the same round of questions began, and at this point I had said "no" around 4 times. In tandem both the original employee and the one at the register start incessantly asking if we're sure, if we're really really sure, if we really really really don't want 5 dollars in rewards, followed by complaining to one another about me not accepting their great deal, then as I'm trying to urge them to complete the order, they ask me over and over again. I have to drop the politeness because at this point it had been 15 minutes of pestering me and guilt-tripping me, then childish behavior when I say no. I have no idea if employees are instructed to ignore when a customer says no, but surely after the 8th "no thank you", there's protocol to just move on to the next customer. They then turned to my sister, who is younger than 10 years old, and started laying onto her the same guilt-trip and questioning about taking her phone number and signing her up for rewards. At that point, I was starting to become annoyed that I was treated unfairly compared to others making purchases of equal size, just like any other time I've been to this location- but of a much higher degree . Once I was allowed to pay, the one behind the register said it "really pained" her that I wasn't taking the rewards, and that I "really missed out, big time". It was a purchase of over $100 so I was obviously wanting to get my items and leave, and the 'enticing' 5 dollars of hot cash was of no interest to me. Once I signed my signature, I put my card away and dropped all previous niceness in my expression, and they handed me the wrong bag of items- extending the purchasing period even further somehow. While the employees are cracking jokes and bad-mouthing me for saying no, I grab the correct bag with the correct receipt in it and dash out of the place. I was incredibly disappointed, despite being a big fan of the Hot Topic franchise, especially when the location closest to me gives me such difficulty. This tactic, if enforced by the management, is not effective towards customers like me that have to jump through hoops and be constantly ignored for denying an offer in order to make a purchase. I would like my "no" to not fall on deaf ears by the 2nd or 3rd time, rather than the 8th or 9th and so on. Please, if you don't like giving out your number/incessant questioning, go to any other Hot Topic location (which has always been more pleasant in one visit than any experience I've had here combined). Hopefully things are changed as to not drive customers away like this, but until then, it's not worth the effort to come here other than for accessibility reasons."
"I really liked this store. It has a variety of items from movies merchandise and clothing, to anime or cartoon characters memorabilia. It's a little tough to get through some isles as there is not much space, but the sales and merchandise are worth looking at throughout the store. Costumer service was good, and overall the store looked stuffy but clean. We will definitely go back!!"
