"This is our first time at Kalahari resort, such a great first impression. We heard about macs famous Wisconsin Mac and cheese, the potato Mac was amazing. The customer service was great, Andrew delivered our food and check on us as well!! Our family will be back for MACS."
"Had "Mama's Mac and Cheese" and "Loaded Baked Potato Mac and Cheese". Mine has potatoes under all that bacon, and was delicious and looked more delicious than the Mama's version that had hot dogs on top. Their soda machine was down and they offered bottled drinks, but a bottled lemonade was $4.00, and bottled soda $3.75! We should have skipped the drinks and had water cups at the convention hall. I wondered why the tip suggestion was 15%, 20%, and 25% when nobody brings your food to you. It seems the tip is for how they clean up after you. Seems high for something that used to be only a couple of dollar bills.. maybe a $5 if you really made a mess."
"Don't do add-ons, they're a waste of money. I ordered extra chicken for my chipotle chicken mac (because I need the protein) and it's almost as if they forgot to add the extra chicken. You also have to buy bottled drinks which cost an arm and a leg because you're paying those resort prices, you're better off just bringing in your own drink or not drinking anything at all. Now for my meal, it was overly cheesy. Some people might like that, but I didn't. My husband got the Memphis BBQ, which was 10x better than what I ordered (Chipotle) since it wasn't drowning in cheese. Portion sizes are decent, I ate about 1/4 of mine (couldn't finish it because it was super dense with all that cheese) while my husband ate all of his and we were both pretty full. Tried to get a to-go container, which took almost 5 minutes for a worker to ask me what I needed as they were too busy doing other things when no one was even ordering at the counter. Either way, willing to go back and try other things on the menu, maybe they can change my mind and my rating."
"The good: Comfort food in good sized portions. Touch screen kiosk ordering with plenty of non-digital posted menus. Clean, open seating, nice atmosphere from the resort. Fun serving dishes, good service. Aluminum take out containers with paper-based tops. The bad: Customization is expensive; all add-ons are $2 or $3. I paid 2$ for a very light mix in of pico de gallo. All drinks $3.75 or more. Bottled water only at the time we went. Apparently this will be changing, and I hope to update my review then! We did not see any reusable drinking glasses, only single use plastic. Dessert options only available in single-serve plastic."
"You order on a touchscreen. They have several macaroni bowls to choose from. Once you select, you can delete items then you can add items at additional cost. You select your beverage and then go grab it from the cooler. Finally you pay. My receipt was a blank slip of paper. They bring your food to the table. OMG was it delicious. Definitely go."
