"It was absolutely delicious. The brisket was amazing. This place is very kid friendly. The staff were friendly and helpful even though it was really busy and hectic inside. The fire pit was impressive, and I loved the smoke smell. Outside there was music and the atmosphere was laid back. We really enjoyed our date night here. It's also really close to the park, so it would be great to go for a walk after eating."
"This was my first time trying Texas BBQ and the food absolutely blew me away! In huge contrast to past BBQ experiences, there's almost too much flavor to justify using the BBQ sauce! The fatty brisket was a stand-out, but the beef ribs and sausage were also really nice. Texas toast was brilliant and the Mac-n-Cheese has this great Alfredo vibe! The only thing I didn't absolutely love was the cobler. It wasn't served very warm, the crust was thick, and the flavor seemed muted."
"From the second I opened the door, I was greeted warmly not only by the staff but my nose knew I was in exactly the right place to get a great brisket fix. I sat at the bar since I was alone and was treated to excellent conversation and service by Elicia who made me feel welcome while also getting me pumped about the food options while I reviewed the menu in detail. She understood all my food allergies of Egg, Gluten, and Dairy and helped me make my choices. When food arrived, I knew I was in for a treat. Each bite was heavenly and I needed to pace myself to appreciate it and drag out the experience longer. The sweet potato fries were perfectly cooked and a massive quantity. Despite my desire to gorge myself, the pacing worked and now I have left overs enabling me to get another delicious fix of Salt Lick brisket tonight for dinner. Life Pro Tip, ask to sample the Texas Honey Pecan BBQ sauce. A++ it was great on my meat and the sweet potato fries."
"I reserved the private room for a dinner for 30 clients that were attending a conference at the Kalahari Resort across the street, and the events staff was amazing to work with (the private room holds about 45 people)! I got there super-early, just to make sure everything was set up correctly and to get my computer connected to the monitor. Everything was already put together, including the beers on ice and the wine already uncorked. Everyone felt very special, and the food was superb!β¦ But as good as the food was, the service was even better. Jesse the server was amazing to work with: super-helpful, efficient, and he anticipated things very well. He was also easy to find when we needed something. Clive the bartender was also great helping 8 to 10 of our guests with drinks from the bar. I don't know when there will be another event like this in Round Rock that I get to host, but if it does happen in the future, I will reserve this place in a heartbeat. *There was plenty of wine left over, so I brought it home. I purchased two bottles each of the Salt Lake Cellars BBQ White & Red. My wife (the household wine connoisseur) says that they are both excellent."
