"something changed...I had been coming here once a week for years. The last time I came back in November, I though my burger was small and extremely smashed down. Never been like that before, but i chalked it up to me being extra hungry that day. That actually kept me from coming back again until today and I get this, and it doesn't even have the same flavor as before. I know the one i got today is a single, but there is no comparison in the size of the meat. You can tell the difference in the pictures. I've been telling people for years this is the best burger in Houston, and it was!"
"A lot of people are saying stuff like the people that work up there are rude or like the bread is just sitting on the floor. When in reality the people are some of the nicest people you will ever meet in this day and age and the bread is in containers but there is no room to store the stuff because of how small it is. They think this place earns a lot of money but they don’t remember that they still have to pay bills, pay for all the food YOU are eating, pay for the snow cone flavors. All this stuff. My dad and grandpa work up there so I should know this stuff I even work up there to help sometimes. My dad has to leave right after he drops me and my brothers off at school and my aunt’s house to go up there and prep the food for the day. Sometimes he even has to leave earlier to meet the truck that drops off the bread or vegetables up there. So next time you eat there think about this. You didn’t have to slave over the almost 300% grill all day cooking people’s food, you didn’t have to take care of a very rude costumer or more, and you didn’t have to make the snow cones. I will personally tell you their food is delicious and they are understaffed which makes it even harder to be “perfect”. Also when they close they close don’t come right when they close some of those people have families they need to get home to. Just think about what you want and make sure to speak clearly. Also if I see y’all up there just know I have felt with many rude people even though I’m not even an adult. I’ve been volunteering to work up there since I was around 7 and yes they do pay me it’s not child labour also I do not serve the food just in case yall were wondering. Anyway have a great day and think and speak clear when you order bye ✌️"
"This is my second time visiting red wagon. Thr first time it was ok, but I was told that I needed to try a burger so I returned. I had a call in order 30 mins before they closed. When I walked up to the window they were shutting down for the night. The older lady that was calling out the numbers asked if my number was 195 i told her no and that I had a call in order. She fanned me off as if I didn't say anything so I proceeded to go to the pick up window to tell another worker that i had a call in and the older lady shuts the gate on the window as I'm attempting to communicate at the pick up window. I order the wagon burger with NO bacon with fries and of course when I get home it has 4 slices of bacon on it. Needless to say I couldn't eat it due to a pork allergy. So I ate all 22 of the fries that they gave me. I totally understand how it is when it's time to go home however, if you were no longer taking orders 30mins before closing that is something that should have been communicated. Instead of me showing up and the employees show not one ounce of CUSTOMER SERVICE and be rude. It seemed as if I was bothering them. This was my second and my last visit. It's really a shame because people hype this place up so much unfortunately I don't spend my money where I'm mistreated or undervalued."
"Their chick nachos are very good. Snowcones are good too but the are a bit stingy with the juice. Their customer service could be better and it’s best to have cash because they charge transaction fees unless you make a min. purchase. Overall, decent place."
"The SNOWCONES ARE DELICIOUS!!! I usually order a Large Cotton Candy Snowcone with exrea cream aaand extra juice!!! Plus- The comfort food here is great!!! You Will get the 'itis' after coming here!!! Yayyy!"
