"Ocean Palace is my go-to / favorite Dim Sum restaurant in Houston! Authentic and delicious dim sum, great service, up-kept restaurant, and fair pricing. They have most of the common Dim Sum items made, and pushed out via the carts. You can order specialty items via the waiter / waitress, where they will make it fresh and brought out to you in a timely manner. I absolutely get my Dim Sum fix every time in the Houston, particularly the Bellaire area. The restaurant has a moderate ambiance vibe, suitable for dates, casual meals, or group reunions/events. Ocean Palace is a must try for all Dim Sum fans!"
"Tucked away on Bellaire Blvd., Ocean Palace isn't just a restaurant, it's a family tradition. Stepping through those doors is like stepping back into countless dim sum lunches past, each one woven with laughter, chatter, and the irresistible scent of steaming baskets. Last week, that familiar magic worked its charm again as we unwrapped our takeout feast. No fancy dishes, just the classics that never miss: Siumai, plump and juicy, their delicate folds holding a savory surprise in every bite. The Steamed Tofu Pork Roll, a symphony of textures - the soft tofu yielding to the springy pork, all bathed in the rich embrace of oyster sauce. And of course, the Sesame Balls, crispy shells bursting with sweet, nutty goodness. Highly recommend but either do come early if dining in to ensure getting a table or order by phone if planning for a take-out."
"We ordered 7 dim sum dishes and found the quality was worth a 3-star rating. The turnip cake tasted staled as we noticed the Chinese ham/salted meat were fresh. The tofu skin roll was possibly prepared the night before and over steamed, the skin fell apart and the fillings didn't taste fresh. Their shrimp dumplings and beef tripe stew were excellent. Chicken feet was flavorful, could use a little more steam time. Service was good."
"Good dim sum. Service is quick! We over ordered & there was so much food leftover. Restrooms are clean but there was a weird chemical smell inside the private room we sat in. The waiters are very attentive and did a great job with our huge party today."
"This review is for the dimsum experience. Went on Saturday morning and there was no line. Huge restaurant with lots of sitting place for everyone. Ladies with carts catering small dishes of dimsum is faster than any fast food joint. We were eating within a minute after sitting down. Dimsum were hot and fresh. Great flavor and none of the dish we ordered disappoint. Will return for more next time!"
