"My wife and I go to the Katy location. Abraham and Gladys make the best margaritas! The food is always fresh and delicious. I started going to El Rey at the Washington location when it was the only location. The owner treated me to a cup of coffee on a couple of occasions. For me it is the best! And i am glad you added a bar at the Katy location. It makes for really nice night treat. keep up the good work, thanks. Dave"

"The food was really good. I got a slow cooked beef plate and I enjoyed every bite. My husband got the roast chicken and it was exactly how he likes it. The veggies were grilled and still a little crunchy which is his favorite. My kid got the salmon salad which she said was just ok, but she ate the whole thing and I was surprised she even ordered it. On a Saturday afternoon I expected it to be busy, but other than us there was no one there. I'm so glad we finally gave it a try."

"This review is about breakfast only. Lunch here is good, but I come for the breakfast. The tacos are delicious, with excellent tortillas, bacon that is cooked fresh, lots of cheese, the standard scrambled eggs, and the refried beans set it apart. The salsas are good, both red and green, and the breakfast platters are solid value if you are hungrier. They also have regular coffee and all the espresso varieties (latte/cappuccino, etc) along with Cuban style coffee as well. Recommended breakfast spot for sure."
