"First time to go during the busy Friday night crowds and VERY DISAPPOINTED! The food is consistently tasty BUT the lack of customer service was blatantly clear! Our waitress immediately brought the check without asking if we needed anything else... my husband explained we wanted to try a dessert? She appeared embarrassed and crumbled the ticket and took our sopapilla order. It took about 30 minutes and they were cold when finally delivered? We continued to try to enjoy our time there but the offers of more tea and water stopped AND they cleared our table while we continued to talk? It was apparent they only wanted to get us out so they could seat more people at our table! Avoid this restaurant, on Friday nights, if you are looking for a nice place to relax! Too many great Mexican food restaurants, in Katy, to ever have to spend money at this establishment... horrible service!"

"From my very first visit, Ray's never disappoints. The service is outstanding, the food is great, and the best frozen margaritas on the planet! And I have tried margaritas across Texas. I am super particular about cheese enchiladas, and theirs are the best. You have never had such a tender rib plate, and yes I said rib plate at a Mexican food restaurant! The beef nachos-delish. Oh, and for the Keto people, you must get the PK special and a side of the broccoli or the grilled veggies. WOW! DELICIOUS. oh and the Tortilla soup! Here is what happens, you are made to feel like friends from your fist visit. The owners, Ray & Gloria, are down to earth and genuine good people. Their son's are are so kind, professional and genuinely want you to enjoy yourself. After so many years, you feel like family. All the staff get to know you, they treat you like family and are glad to see you when you come in. I tell everyone it is like the show "Cheers" - everyone knows your name. I have met so many good people by just getting to know them by sitting near them, sitting at the bar for a to-go order, waiting outside for a table, etc. Anyone who visits me from out-of-town, they make sure I know Ray's is a definite plan during their visit. It is my weekly delight. Okay fine sometimes more than once a week. What can I say, when you leave they say, "See you tomorrow". I take that seriously. :)"

"lively ambiance. quick service. food is subpar. does not taste like authentic mexican food - at all. super runny enchiladas and not lots of meat. no seasoning. & food tastes old? came here because heard the margaritas were good/strong - they’re not. won’t return!"

"This is our go to spot trust me I’m a fat kid! You won’t be disappointed with the food or drinks My wife and I ate here a couple years ago and it was good but this evening we decided to stop in again and I will say that they have stepped up their game. Food was great, appetizers were good. Margaritas were on point service was awesome. Would definitely recommend stopping in for a meal."

"This restaurant is like walking into your Abuela's house! If you're looking for the best Rita .. Rays is the place hands down, you only need 1. The food is ALWAYS FRESH and served FAST. This has become my family’s favorite gathering place. I come in almost weekly . The staff is AMAZING!!! My favorite waiter finds me every time to make sure I'm good . Rum don't walk... you're welcome in advance!!!"
