"Update from 2nd visit: The first time I visited this place, it was awesome. The next time, the fries that we were looking forward to changed from thick crinkle cut to seasoned fries and the sliders and the regular size sandwiches were a lot closer in size. Nobody had mentioned the change in fries, we even ordered an extra order of their largest size fries because we were looking forward to it. Anyhow, first visit was definitely five star and second I would say maybe 3-3.5 so I guess 4 star average. I think it's a cool restaurant but the consistency and/or communication of changes in the menu were lacking. 1st visit: This was some of the best fried chicken sandwiches and fries! The fries were so delicious that I would consider heading there for them. Tried a few different chicken sandwiches and they were all fresh, crunchy and full of flavor. The staff was all so friendly. We did wait a little bit (not like an hour or anything) for the food but so worth it for fresh food. Again, the fries are so unique and like no other. They were almost like steak fries meets crinkle cut with perfect crust and seasoning. The chicken sandwiches had crunch on the outside and tenderness throughout. This is a must try and repeat place for sure! The seating is casual outdoor patio vibe. Family friendly and great selection of food. Also, DNA is very spicy so make sure to eat it last if you want to taste anything else at full flavor profile."
"We sopped in for lunch. Staff were great, answered all of our questions, didn't try to upsell at all. He got the HOT Katsu; it was big and cooked nicely but it didn't have even a hint of spice, even with the sauce. I had the 8 piece bites; for the price, this was a major deal. I only ate half of them, with dipping of kung fu and bbq gochujang, and side of coleslaw. A decent treat of leftovers. We also shared a virgin strawberry margarita/colada; tasty until it melted a bit and then it was awful. Location is really good, one of several boxcars. Seating is outdoors, which was nice for the day we went but probably not good on others since there was no awning. Parking was very good."
"The of the best chicken sandwiches I've had! Had the Hot Katsu. It's a huge tenderized chicken patty fried perfectly in a flavorful planko breading, garnished with some awesome stuff. Will definitely return."
"Surprised to see the setup - a restaurant only made to order and all inside of a boxcar! Joined a best friend here for dinner. I ordered the Last Samurai and he ordered The Duke and shared a large fries. The chicken was delicious and juicy (and protein goals!!!). When I say we enjoyed our meal in peace, we really did. The area was calm. The weather was perfect, food was great, and overall we will be back. I’d have to bring my partner here soon! Great service. Filtered water is available!"
"Hubby wanted to try the place. It's a mini place on the inside with a few bar stools if you're trying to get out of the heat. Otherwise, it's an outdoor spot with a couple of fans. For "normal" portions, order sliders. They serve breaded chicken, and they have a hamburger option. Drinks come in a bottle or can. We went with a group, and as much as we wanted to love the place, it got mixed reviews from our folks. I'll say this, it was hot outside, and I didn't enjoy eating a hot slider in the heat. I ate my leftover slider later at home, and it was good in the A/C, haha. The slider I had was the Mac n cheese slider, but they didn't have the cheese sauce they usually put on the slider, so I got that without it. The chicken strips are not what kids usually eat, so our kid didn't like them. They loved the fries. Hubby liked the burger. Wings are huge portions, so only order the smaller portion if you don't want the equivalent of a whole chicken. The wings were not fully cooked. I don't know if it was too big of an order and cooked all together, and that might have been the case. We took our leftovers home and fully cooked them in the oven. Staff is really nice though."
