"Pork tamales had good flavor. They were out of carne guisada, so I got the barbacoa, which no one at my house was not impressed by. The amount of filling was decent, and everything on the pork tasted freah. The barbacoa didn't taste as freah, seemed to have less flavor, and was more of a mushy filling. I'll probably return, but Im not sure if I'll order any of the premium tamales.. since the cheaper pork ones were much better."
"This was the highlight of our San Antonio trip. Suggested by a local, we just made it in time, before they were closing. We took the chicken jalapeno tamale and the strawberry tamale. Both were really good. They also made fresh salsa for us. Just stood outside and ate on the hood of our car. But the best part about this place is the owner himself. A very friendly, funny young man who will definitely bring a smile to your face."
