"The absolute best place for hole in the wall type of food! The tortillas are homemade, the food is so delicious and the faces who serve you are smiling! Pricing has gone up but that’s to be expected with what happened during 2023 but hands down my fave Mexican restaurant in all SA! It’s cafeteria style so you wait in line to get your food, then you pay and sit down. I haven’t come across any food that I didn’t like from there but my fave plate is their chilaquiles!"

"Located at the corner of S. San Gabriel and W. Commerce is an old school Mexican taco house called Tacos Martinez. Taco Martinez has a cafeteria style lunch line, with all kinds of traditional and hard to find specialty tacos. Tacos Martinez is not only a taco restaurant, it's a Westside tradition. Many of us that frequent Tacos Martinez don't live in the area, we travel to W. Commerce just for the memories of our Grandparents taking us out for breakfast. The food is consistently good, service is steady and the prices have remained reasonable. I enjoy the lengua guisada, and my wife enjoys the carne guisada. Go check it out, it's a great restaurant."

"So I’ve been coming to this establishment since I was knee high to a grasshopper but it’ WAS hard to break tradition. I remained a customer even with the consistent prices increases; which seem to go up every time I go inside and can be seen on the menu with changes to the prices “masked” by coincidentally pieces of masking tape. Today I went into the establishment and was “helped” by Victoria and as I watch the men ahead of me get heaping spoon fulls (literally 2 per taco) this bruh literally shook of papas from my papa ranchera taco and gave me half a spoon serving. I typically get 3-4 tacos and eat them throughout the day but on this occasion I stopped at the one because if this lady was gonna be skimpy with potatoes, then lord only knows how she would be with the carne asada and tripas. Pictures attached to show uncooked and skimpy potatoes. The owner did say they would remake the taco but she literally was the only one back there so I just got my refund and he gave it with argument. Not as if I was expecting one; this man spends more time and has more conversation on the phone than with the actual customer. Seriously; smile more, make any kind of eye contact, ANYTHING."
