"This is not a fancy restaurant, but the food and the service cannot be beat! I dream about and CRAVE the Soul Rolls!!! My mom says that the liver and onions were some of the best she's had. I'm not a big fan of liver, but even I have to admit, it was pretty tasty. I always get the oxtail (if it's not sold out). My daughter loves the Chicken Fried Steak. I honestly don't think they have a bad dish at all. The owner is super sweet, and always checks up on her customers. The servers are all very sweet too. The portions are pretty big too. I always leave full and happy!"

"You need to try their soul rolls as soon as possible!These were recommended to me by and friend and I’m so glad they did because there are so good. The ingredients in my order were collards,Mac and cheese, and ground beef. I’m not even sure what’s in the sauce but it tasted even better with it! Definitely coming here again"

"Chill place, The flavors were on point and everything was cooked great. Greens were good. The country fried steak was good. Disappointed they didn’t have white meat for fried chicken but I’ll try the the wings one day. Cornbread was fire!"

"Finally made it to Mr. A Ok's Kitchen!!! It was everything I'd hoped for!! Real food!!! Real food made with love that you can actually taste! My kiddos loved it just as much! Take a look at the pictures! The food was amazing!! If you haven't tried it, go! It's a must! My only regret is that it's taken me years to finally get out here! I'm always on the go and as a family we cook alot at home but when we dine out we like to try a bunch of stuff on the menu wherever we go.. today we had Mr. A Ok's Soul Rolls, Fried Green Tomatoes, Meatloaf, Fried Chicken, Fried Fish, Chicken Fried Steak, Greens, Mash, Mac & Cheese, Cabbage, Corn bread, Sweet Tea... and we took one of each dessert home! We live and work on the Southside but we gladly drive all over SA trying different spots! Our meals today were sooo full of flavor true Soul Cooking!! When food is cooked with Soul you feel it, you taste it and that was very much the case at Mr. A Ok's Kitchen!"

"The service was excellent. The food came out fast. Plus the prices were very reasonable. It was the first time me and my wife have visited. Will definitely go back for more items on the menu. I had the Catfish with Mac and Cheese & Green Beans. My wife had the Meatloaf with Mac and Cheese & Cabbage. All of it was full of flavor. Plus the Soul Rolls."
