"We've been fans of Wayne's Wings since the Austin Hwy location. Once he moved to the Walzem location, his high standatd of professionalism continued. This location is clean and orderly, and if dining in, you'll see the staff sweeping and bussing tables. The food is EXCEPTIONAL! The sauces are homemade. Our favorite sauces are TX Honey Bee, Boss, and Honey BBQ. The staff are incredibly helpful, and their knowledge of the menu is top-notch. I highly recommend Wayne's Wings. The food is cooked to order (they do not use heat lamps), so please be patient while they prepare your order. Wayne"s Wings is worth the wait. Your taste buds will love and appreciate you for it!"

"Super friendly staff, BEYOND DELICIOUS WINGS AND FRIES. They live up to the title of Best Wings in Texas! I will be back. In fact, I refuse to eat wings anywhere else. Why settle for less? My only regret is not coming sooner. The bottom wings are dry rub spicy lemon pepper and the top are honey chili lime. The wings are large, the skin is not dry, the flavors are perfect, and the chicken is juicy! And the ketchup supports veteran families. Oh, and the fries have a slight crisp and are cooked to perfection, and you can add seasoning of your choice. I'm in love."

"We completely enjoyed our chicken wing experience at Wayne's Wings. 5-stars all around for the food, friendliness, and fastness. The wings here out-perform any other wing at all the other places we've ever been to, which have been many, and which we won't mention. Our grown-up son is the wing-expert and he can be very generous with his reviews, but Wayne's Wings has been the best wings he's had. The wing sizes here are bigger than any other chicken or wing place. The boneless wings are truly massive. Your eyes can definitely get bigger than your stomach. 5 wings here are like 10 wings at other joints. The potato fries (wedges) were so tender and had a crispy outer layer, and the basket came full. We ended up not finishing our order and took the rest home. The lady taking our order wss very polite, friendly, and helpful. The cook was a pleasure to talk with. The mood here was one of utmost courtesy and service, with pride in their product. Wayne's Wings has a traditional assortment of flavors-both wet and dry options-but with BETTER natural flavor than other places, and that ain't just our hunger talking. Our food came out fast and hot. It took us longer to decide our order options than it did for our order to come out. They brought it to our table and then checked in on us. Self-serve drink fountain, plenty of towels at the table, and a self-serve rack of plates, plastic-ware, and boxes are available. We will have a good memory of this place, and when we return to San Antonio, we'll be sure to come back to Wayne's Wings, because, that's how we wing."

"When my friend recommended this place as I was visiting from Houston, I had to check out what the “Best Wings in Texas” tasted like. It’s a small quaint place out off Walzem, just off the highway. I got there around opening but it started to bustle a bit with diners and to-go orders as the lunch rush slowly approached. I got the Wayne’s Meal combo where you can get two flavors with your six wings and a flavor for your wedges. I went with breaded wings with the Boss (BBQ, Lemon Pepper) and the TX Honey Bee (Chili Sauce, Cayenne, Honey, Pepper Flakes) with Garlic Parmesan wedges. Paired it with an Orange Crush and Ranch. When the food arrived I immediately noticed what a good size the wings were and the amount of wedges. I took a bite and it wasn’t scalding hot like how some other places serve their wings, but rich and juicy. I could taste the flavor of not only the sauce, but the breading and the chicken meat itself. While the Boss was sweet, the Honey Bee had a nice kick to it! Granted I ended up with sticky hands, it was definitely worth it! I know how people would take a trip out to Austin or San Antonio just for BBQ, but I would say that Wayne’s Wings is a definite reason to come down to San Antonio every once in a while. Definitely returning!"
